Knew In Case of Emergency was a goner. Do we really need an hour of According to Jim a week? I am looking forward to Traveler even though ABC has put it off forever. And Notes from the Underbelly will probably suffer the same fate as the other ABC single camera comedies.

It seems I don't know really...ABC is just pathetic these days...They over-use Grey's Atatomy and everything else just sinks to the bottom...So I don't know...

Even after reading the revamp of the day, I still don't see any point in watching it just yet because they will still be jumping things in and out for a bit.

ABC lost faith in the Traveller once they saw the taped programs (order was shortened to 8 episodes from 13). Traveller airing in the summer is basically a burn-off.

I can't see Notes from the Underbelly hitting big. If it does do some business, I guess they can hold back the seven unaired episodes to next fall (unless the show moves time periods post sweep for a summer burn-off as well).

ABC is in trouble with the comedies. If they really had faith in them, they would be airing post-Dancing. Get ready for more According to Jim and George Lopez.

There's no way it will hit it big. Putting it behind ATJ is a bad start. With all the single-camera comedies ABC has tried of late, there is no reason for the average viewer to try it. Of course being the avid television viewer I am, I will give it a shot.

This just proves that ABC has no idea what it's doing.

Sure I will be watching ABC from 8-10 on Wednesdays but will america?

It will be interesting to see how it does. It won't be anything big but there is a difference between doing ok and doing terrible.

In my opinion, ABC is not in the trouble that many contributors on this board seem to think. Yes, there are problems, but compared to where the network was a few years ago, it is in far better shape now and I believe that overall ratings will improve next season. Grey’s Anatomy, Dancing with the Stars, Extreme Makeover and Ugly Betty are bona fide hits. Even though Desperate Housewives has lost a few million viewers, it is still a top 10 show and should remain so due to its overall improvement from last season. Brothers & Sisters is a very good (top 30) show, but it is not the breakout hit that may have been expected since it airs out of DH. Boston Legal does not have the benefit of a decent lead-in, but is still a top 40 show and usually doubles the audience of its lead in (not to mention it is one of the best written and acted shows on television) and it draws a large audience of wealthy people. There was a special BL that aired out of DH last November and it was watched by about 15 million viewers, which is 2-3 million more than B&S average rating. Americas Funniest Home Videos, Wife Swap, Supernanny and even The Bachelor are all making money for ABC, so while they are not huge hits, they serve a very real purpose. Of course, there a few problems; no hit half hour comedies, major viewership erosion for Lost and the very low ratings for What About Brian (if this were not a JJ Abrams show, it would have been axed months ago). Men in Trees is squandering its lead in from GA, but it should be renewed and allowed to find more of an audience next season.

The ABC schedule has been mishandling, at times, over the past year.
1. The Lost debacle of too many repeats, time slot changes and too long of a break between fall and spring. This has hurt the show, but Lost is still a hit and a critical favorite.
2. Showing repeats of GA and/or AFHV on Fridays.
3. Not bothering to compete on Saturdays
4. Cancelling Invasion and Commander in Chief too soon.
Fall schedule ideas:
Monday
8pm - DWTS/Wife Swap/The Bachelor
9pm – DWTS/Wife Swap/The Bachelor
10pm – Brothers & Sisters
Tuesday
8pm – Supernanny
9pm – DWTS – results/New Drama
10pm – Boston Legal
Wednesday
8pm – New comedies?
9pm – GA spinoff
10pm – Lost
Thursday
8pm – Ugly Betty
9pm – GA
10pm – Men in Trees
Friday
8pm – New Comedies (TGIF)
9pm – New Comedies (TGIF)
10pm – 20/20
Saturday
8pm – New Game Show?
9pm – New Reality Show?
10pm – Primetime Live
Sunday
7pm – AFHV
8pm – EM:HE
9pm – DH
10pm – Football Wives

Just my opinion.

Donno, first welcome to the forums. I will agree that some people overdo it when they criticize ABC, but ABC, along with NBC are both rather pathetic networks at the moment. NBC more so but ABC still.

The main difference between ABC and NBC is that ABC has the big hits. NBC, on the other hand, just keeps expanding Deal or No Deal. NBC needs a big breakout hit next season.
