Their list pretty much shows only active shows currently on the air or ones that have been slated for a specific upcoming timeslot (such as LOST and Eli Stone, for example). It does not list shows that are not on the schedule.

I wish I knew the answer too, but my gut tells me Duel is done. I think ABC was expecting Millionaire type ratings for some reason. (after all, Millionaire originally debuted in August when numbers are typically lower.)

I agree x and that's unfortunate imo. The show really got good towards the end. If they're hoping for Millionaire numbers, why in the world don't they just bring back Millionaire?

Duel doesn't need to be a hit -- it pulled in 8 million viewers in the reduced holiday viewing of late December. I believe it's only a few minor tweaks away from being a consistent performer, and even unchanged it can plug a hole on ABC's Monday or Tuesday schedules. For example replacing NFTU and October Road (both of which have been pulling under 4 million viewers) with 90 minute episodes of Duel on Mondays is an easy way to improve ABC's Monday performance significantly. An even better method would be the following:

8:00 Dance War
9:00 Duel
10:00 Wife Swap

Both Dance War and Duel would work better as 60 minute shows (less filler), and Wife Swap needs to come back to Mondays where it has always been successful and escape the AI slaughter on Wednesdays...

Out of the various scenarios we've described here, I still like this a lot.

I would like to see Wife Swap and October Road switch days and times. I think they would both be more successful if they did.

I don't think anything would help October Road at this point. It is just not a good performer.

Sadly I agree and swapping nights would likely result in lower ratings, especially against the Death Star, whose younger audience would only hurt the show.

Replacing NFTU with a test pattern would be a positive move.

I think Fridays @ 8pm is the best place for October Road -- it really couldn't hurt ABC there -- it should at least match the 5th place ratings ABC has been getting there with reruns, and again allow Wife Swap to take its place on Mondays @ 10pm.
