That's not correct Ginger -- The Batchelor was a competitive 2nd in its timeslot last Fall, only behind CSI:Miami. Go back and review the ratings -- Journeyman certainly didn't beat it in the ratings. And its demo numbers are still quite strong.

Duel only got to 8 million one night, technically. I'm just saying it is only a stopgap measure. I would agree, however, that it would be better than Tuesdays (much like last year, a wasteland). Also, the last two weeks, Notes and October have been sub 5 million (about 4,800,000). Still awful, but not as bad as you claim.

I personally would see Wife Swap at 9 and Supernanny a 10 on Mondays. Dance War will be an hour for the rest of its run, pretty much. You're on the right track though.

Would Mondays improve with this? Yes. Would Wednesdays sink lower than last years putrid results? Yes. Right now at least there's some balance and the Wife Swap/Supernanny combo will eventually benefit from just 30 minutes of Idol.

exmalibu, I personally would like to see that too (a Monday lineup of Dance War, Wife Swap, and Supernanny), but then what do you do on Wednesdays? With both Wife Swap and Supernanny leaving Wednesdays, that night will collapse. I agree with mushu on that.

However, what they should not do is what they plan on doing -- that is bring in Samantha Who? to Mondays @ 9pm following Dance War. Samantha Who has a lot of promise but it is still very vulnerable on its own. We saw what happened in December once DWTS was gone as a lead-in. They must keep the remaining SW episodes for when DWTS returns, and in the meantime, at a minimum, plug in Duel in the Mon @ 9pm slot instead. This is a stop-gap till mid-March, when their original Monday lineup from the Fall, DWTS, SW, and The Bachelor return and claim back 1st place. At that point, Duel can move to a different night to fill a different hole (and there are plenty).
