I actually think that this would cause ABC to have the same if not lower #'s on Mondays. Wife Swap did only 5 million last week and MiT has been around 6 million this season. I think ABC would be in a worse position. I think ABC needs to get rid of NFTU and burn the remaining episodes on Fridays. Put SW in it spot, even if it is repeats. As for OR I would think it would do better on a different night and time. Relationship dramas have been performing bad on Monday's at 10/9 c for the past couple of years. Either put the Bachelor back there ASAP or try BL there. The only 10/9 c show on ABC besides B&S that is doing good. Maybe move OR to Tuesdays at 8, then MiT at 9 or 10. Tuesdays need to be fixed as well and these two shows might do good there.

I agree with many of your points, but not about the fact that Wife Swap would do same or worse on Mondays. It has always done well on Mondays, and once they move it away from AI its ratings would increase. As far as The Batchelor, who knew there would come a day where we would see it as a savor of ABC's Mondays, but it has performed much stronger, especially in the demo -- it will be fine when it returns with DWTS and new Samantha Who by late March, but it will be a long time of historic lows for ABC until then if they do nothing.

I believe ABC just needs to burn off the shows now. Things are a mess for them. Relaunch SW when Dancing with the Stars returns in March and then lead it into the Bachelor. Then use that promotion along with Dancing results to improve Tuesdays.

I think that ABC is just burning off Notes from the Underbelly and October Road at the moment.

I agree with relaunching Samantha Who with Dancing with the Stars, but I don't think that the Bachelor should be in the mix. It already proved to be a ratings stinker in the fall, so why repeat the mistake? It's honestly around only because it's cheap to produce. Why not ship it off to Fridays where original programing is scarce, the Greys & Desperate repeats aren't doing too hot, and expectations are lower? ABC has all those Men in Tree episodes, why not move it to Mondays? Samantha and Men in Trees are both about starting over.

Mondays
8 Dancing with the Stars
9:30 Samantha Who?
10 Men in Trees

Fridays
8 REPEAT WHEEL Pushing Daisies/Grey's/Private Practice/Brothers & Sisters
9:30 Bachelor/Bachelorette
]10 20/ 20

Exactly, they only care that Dance Wars wasn't a complete flop and should be used between DWTS seasons.

I don't see there seing a point to moving the Bachelor to Friday nights, which are pretty much dead on every network right now because of the strike. DWTS, SW and the Bachelor worked on Monday nights. At ths point for ABC I would have to say don't fix something if it is not broken.

As for NFTU it is dead in the water. I don't think ABC has much interest in renewing it once it is finish. As for OR I would have to disagree with most people on the board that it does have a slim chance at this point of coming back for another season. Just because ABC promotes it on there website a lot, it does good on !Tunes, cheap to produce, and alot of viewers DVR it or watch on line the next day because of the time slot. Also Laura Prepon said in a recent article that she thinks it will be back for another season.

ABC has alot of other problems besides Monday nights. ABC needs to learn that relationship dramas don't work on Mondays at 10/9 c.

Actually, if I were ABC, seeing as that Wife Swap in the past has done as well on Mondays away from the Death Star leads me to the opinion that Dance Wars and any other spinoff should be shelved post-strike and ABC just uses DWTS to keep the timeslot warm.

The Bachelor was/is coming in last place on Mondays! I call that being broken. So, maybe a less competitive slot would do it good.

Samantha Who has proved that a WELL WRITTEN show can work after Dancing with the Stars and Notes from the Underbelly has poved shows that are poor to mediocre don't. Can bring back that Alyssa Milano drama pilot? Just rambling here, but it's Stars Dancing followed by your favorite child stars grown up Christina Applegate from Married with Children and Alyssa Milano from Who's the Boss. That sounds easy to promote.

If not maybe move a successful, established show there. Brothers & Sister's is a good show that could take the spot freeing up the post Desperate Housewives spot to launch something else. Maybe bring back the Football Wives pilot for after Desperate Housewives, so it's a WIVES-night?

Well, can October Road & Notes From the Underbelly. I enjoy Underbelly, but clearly, they aren't team players.

And another thing, do NOT put comedies in a time slot where there's already 2 other comedies airing at the same time. Bad move.

Like I keep saying, ABC needs to move their comedies to Fridays again.

That's not correct Ginger -- The Batchelor was a competitive 2nd in its timeslot last Fall, only behind CSI:Miami. Go back and review the ratings -- Journeyman certainly didn't beat it in the ratings. And its demo numbers are still quite strong.

You're right. The Bachelor remains a very solid player even though its down and will likely win that hour in the demo if everything else remains in repeats.

What are you the spelling police? Do you know how many typo/grammar errors I see on here? I don't correct people because they say "then" instead of "than" or "stuped" instead of "stupid" or "there" instead of "their" -- just why did you feel that this particular typo needed to be corrected? Do you think people won't find it on their tv when it comes back because I spelled it wrong or something? I guess in the future I'll spell-check everything before posting so I can be vlis-approved.
