Originally posted by Chimera: mushu, I really like this lineup! I know you had to modify it after new information that a lot of the freshman series will be held until a Fall re-launch, but I can easily see this lineup in the Fall, if not late Spring. I think due to the strike, ABC would be very smart to go with such a lineup in the Fall, then wait to launch its 2008-09 development/pilot pickups in January.
A couple of the things I really like are having Private Practice follow DWTS/SW on Mondays (I recommended that for this past Fall but everybody thought PP could anchor Wednesdays), as well as DWTS: Results pushed up to 8pm to lead-into another series -- though not sure whether that series should necessarily be DSM.
I will respond a bit later with my lineup for both Spring and Fall, then Jan 09, but for now this is the one I like the best. Well do mushu -- I hope ABC is checking out this thread!

In the case of ABC, the addition of some midseason shows makes for a pretty packed lineup. Here's what I propose and keep in mind that some shows will likely take a lot longer to return to the airwaves than others.
Mondays: Dancing (90 minutes) Samantha Who? Private Practice Give Private Practice some love already and a lead in.
Tuesdays: Dancing results (head to head against Idol) Dirty Sexy Money Boston Legal
Give Idol some real competition and at the same let DSM have a nice lead in. Its more female skewing and older viewership could fit well with Dancing.
Wednesday: Wife Swap/Pushing Daisies Supernanny Men in Trees
For this year just let this lineup air imo. Pushing Daisies will take a while to get back and when it does just leave it in the same timeslot (which won't feature much in terms of scripted competition). In some ways its a throw away night, but with so many episodes of these shows, I would just use them. Then ABC can load up on the other nights of the week.
Thursday: Ugly Betty Greys Eli Stone/Lost
Lost will take a while to get more eps so use Eli Stone until then.
Fridays: According to Jim Just for Laughs Women's Murder Club 20/20
Saturdays: Movies
Sundays: AFV Home Edition Desperate Housewives Brothers and Sisters
Overall this lineup features strong Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday lineups with a Friday lineup that should at least match its levels from last fall. Wednesdays will be weaker but no weaker than current level as Men in Trees has the potential to be much stronger than Cashmere Mafia.
I would somehow find room for Oprah's Big Give, however. Probably where it is scheduled to run, Sundays following EM:HE until late April, then have DH come in for the May sweeps...
OK, here's my post-strike lineup. I went with the assumption based on the reports a few mentioned above that only established hits would return this Spring, with 4-6 new episodes, while freshman series that had previously received full-season pickups would be held until Fall. Therefore, I expect DH, Grey's, UB, BL, and B&S to have up to 6 new Spring episodes, but I also included Private Practice, Women's Murder Club and Samantha Who, who also were doing well and therefore don't need to be "relaunched" in the Fall. Also, Men In Trees has plenty of new episodes and should return this Spring. On the flip side, Pushing Daisies, and Dirty Sexy Money need new momentum and should be held off till Fall, and LOST, which relies on a narrative momentum, should either finish all 8 remaining episodes and run them this Spring (unlikely), or hold them off until Fall, running those 8 in Oct-Nov, then return with the 16 intended as "season 5" as scheduled Feb - May 09.
So, with that in mind, here's my proposed Spring lineup:
Mondays: 8:00 DWTS(90 minutes) 9:30 Samantha Who? 10:00 The Bachelor (strong demo results, and rumor that host Chris Harrison will be a Dancing contestant this time around)
This lineup is identical to what they had in the Fall when they dominated the night.
Tuesdays: 8:00 DWTS results (NCIS proves you can go head-to-head with Idol, and I think the viewers are somewhat different -- slightly older than Idol's) 9:00 Duel (I keep saying give this show another chance with a good lead-in -- it has potential) 10:00 Boston Legal
Wednesday: 8:00 Wife Swap 9:00 Supernanny 10:00 Men in Trees
This is ABC's planned lineup, and it should do enough to keep the night "warm" for ABC until Fall. MiT should improve on Cashmere Mafia's numbers at 10pm. Wife Swap will bump back up once AI:results move exclusively to 9pm, and Supernanny should be less impacted by it.
Thursday: 8:00 Ugly Betty 9:00 Grey's Anatomy (after LOST ends its 8 episode run) 10:00 Eli Stone (through its 13 episode order)/Private Practice (spin-off did very well here last Spring. Not a long-term solution, as I see PP better suited for Mondays at 10pm, but for now it will work)
We know 8pm - 10pm works (though UB has fallen from its highs), and both Eli Stone and Private Practice will perform measurably better post-Greys than Big Shots did.
Fridays: 8:00 According to Jim (new) 8:30 According to Jim (reruns) 9:00 Women's Murder Club (its new episodes won the hour in viewers, if not always in the demo) 10:00 20/20
AtJ's surprisingly decent ratings on its Tuesday return warrant keeping it somewhere on the schedule, and its reruns usually almost match its new episodes when back-to-back. Not a natural flow to WMC, but flow is not necessarily #1 priority on Friday nights. This lineup should keep them competitive on Fridays until they can schedule more aggressively in the Fall.
Saturdays: Movies/Sports/who cares
Sundays: 7:00 AFV 8:00 Extreme Makeover: Home Edition 9:00 Oprah's Big Give (though mid April)/Desperate Housewives 10:00 Brothers and Sisters

Good schedule and in the case of Private Practice, waiting til fall may do more harm than good. Samantha Who has enough eps to reair that no one's seen so it wouldn't necessarily need new eps as long as Dancing and the Bachelor could be extended here or there to fill in. Agree on WMC.
Now judging what I've heard here the last week and with the strike likely over within 7 days or so, here's my new strike lineup starting with a March lineup and then an April lineup. March lineup: Sundays- AFV Home Edition Oprah's Big Give Newlyweds
Mondays- Dancing SW repeats of last 3 eps and then the new eps The Bachelor
Tuesdays- Jim (full hour) Dancing results Primetime/remaining Eli Stone eps once Lost finishes its run
Wednesdays- Wife Swap Supernanny Men in Trees
Thursdays- Lost repeats Lost Eli Stone Repeats of Betty and Greys return here late March.
Fridays- Primetime WMC repeats 20/20
Saturday- Movies
Then this is what happens in April (remember it might not happen for some nights like Sunday til mid to late April.
Sundays- AFV Home Edition Housewives B&S
Mondays- Dancing SW new eps if possible or extended the Bachelor The Bachelor
Tuesdays- Jim new and repeats Dancing remaining Eli Stone/Boston Legal
Wednesdays- no changes
Thursdays- Ugly Betty Greys Lost if possible or perhaps some Private Practice episodes if Lost is not available. Do not put Private Practice against Idol and only let it air after a major hit at this point. Prefer Lost over PP so we can relaunch PP in the fall.
Fridays- Primetime WMC originals- this needs about 5 more eps for ABC to decide if with a decent and more compatible Primetime lead in if it can get some traction. 20/20

You should be the program director at ABC!! Bravo

So here's my revised lineup and no I'm not moving Lost to another night just so it doesn't have to air at 10pm. Greys is an excellent lead in for it. Not to mention, there's a great chance that new eps won't even get produced of that. Also, don't think that new eps of Miss/Guided will even be produced as that show hasn't produced I believe more than one ep.
Monday: Dancing SW repeats The Bachelor
Tuesday: According to Jim Just for Laughs Dancing results Boston Legal
Wednesday: Wife Swap Supernanny Men in Trees
Thursday: Ugly Betty Greys Anatomy Eli Stone remaining eps/ Lost new eps if available or try out a gameshow here if no new Lost eps available
Friday: Primetime Women's Murder Club repeats 20/20 I would also note that the first few weeks new eps are on that Friday and Saturday should be used as encore nights of the first new eps back and then use this lineup the rest of the time.
Saturday: Movies
Sunday: AFV Home Edition Desperate Housewives Brothers and Sisters
The Blog you guys refer to is Incorrect. DSM will be back in production in 2-4 weeks, still has 3 remaining episodes..Course I do not know when it will return but we start shooting several months prior to summer! I go back to work in 14 days WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO finally

Well nevertheless it won't be back til next fall in the most likely scenario. Glad you liked the lineup though.
Lost creator did say that they could at least 5-6 more episodes filmed and that episode 9 could be ready for the week after episode 8. The might extend Lost until the first week of June.
Have GA on a 8pm, Lost at 9pm, and Eli Stone at 10pm
Slight update to my lineup to account for news on what shows will be back in the Spring and which will wait till Fall.
