Saw this post on occasional PIFeedback contributor Alex Davis' website BuzzerBlog.

The LA craigslist has a listing for season 2 of Duel. ABC declined comment when BuzzerBlog contacted them about it. Someone in the BuzzerBlog comments trail claimed he responded to the listing and was contacted to come in for an interview. So there may be a chance that this show is coming back.

My guess is that ABC will try to resurrect this as a summer show. Still just a rumor for now, though.

I hope it does -- I thought quality-wise it was a good show, and with some minor tweaks it can become a summer hit. Together with the return of The Mole and The Bachelorette, ABC could have a successful summer, which does come into play with next season's Fall launch. The seasons they had Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Dancing with the stars succeed in the summer, the won the next season as well, because it gave them a strong Fall launch. The past few summmers though, they've been pretty forgettable...

Great to hear - at least there is hope anyways. I wonder if they've changed their mind on bringing back Bingo. Now if they bring back Super Millionaire too in the summer, they'd be all set.

Guess what? It really is coming back! And in Spring, no less. Can't tell if it's going to be regularly airing at 8 or at 9, as the countdown and the "season premiere" section indicate 8, but the thing under the logo indicates 9. Maybe a two-hour premiere and a regular 9 slot? That would nix the possibility of WMC episodes airing there.

OMG, I'm sooooo happy

It will be interesting to see if any changes are made for Season 2. Given that this will be 10 episodes, I'm presuming the show will try and guarantee that each contestant picked for the show will actually play (a few contestants didn't get a shot at playing in the December version).

10 weeks will take it thru june. If it was a tornament, I would think they would want the big finale in may. I wonder if it will not be tournament style this time.

And according to sitcomsonline, ABC is scheduling the season finale of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” - Friday, May 16, 2008 from 8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT

Very wise idea -- game shows are really doing well on Fridays, and with 1vs100 on hiatus, there will be an opening for Duel, since Amne$ia does not seem to be connecting with viewers. I think they do need to tinker somewhat with the format and even with the on-screen graphics (season 1 was way too small a font, even for my 52" tv), but I think this will surprised folks. Regarding how this may fit with WMC, I can still see both of them potentially on Fridays, with the following lineup:

8pm 20/20
9pm Duel
10pm WMC

even though WMC will only have 3 new episodes, I think this lineup could work with reruns of WMC as well. Alternately, I still WMC as fitting in ABC's spring Tuesday lineup as well.

Good move but why not just air it at 8pm leading into WMC and 20/20? I think it would crush NBC's disaster of a Friday.

You forgot aboutthe other Friday entries Ame$ia, Indentity and Bingo.

I agree that would be better, except that they are advertising Duel as being on Fridays @ 9pm. But I agree that your lineup would do better.

WMC is going to replace Boston Legal on Tues for the 3 episodes it has on 4/29-5/13

Awesome -- that's actually what I was hoping for -- the DWTS: Results audience is very compatible with WMC's audience! Where did you find that?
