How do you know it would. The audience probably isn't home.

SUNDAYS
7:00-AFV
8:00-EM HOME EDITION
9:00-DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
10:00-DIRTY SEXY MONEY It could possibly take carry more than the 2/3 of the DH audience that Brothers & Sisters does.

MONDAYS
8:00-DANCING WITH THE STARS
9:00-SAMANTHA WHO?
9:30- THE BAD MOTHERS HANDBOOK
10:00-BROTHERS AND SISTERS Can only improve where other relationship dramas have failed,

TUESDAYS
8:00-THE GOODE FAMILY [Hey, those Charie Brown specials seem to always seem do well here, why not another animated show]
8:30-CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER A family friendly sitcom could work well with it
9:00-DANCING WITH THE STARS/ACCORDING TO JIM A way to complete the comedy block & earn the syndication money
9:30-DANCING WITH THE STARS/SCRUBS Ditto
10:00-ELI STONE Kinda like Boston, but one that might be able to hold more of the dancing lead in

WEDNESDAYS
8:00-PUSHING DAISES
9:00-PRIVATE PRACTICE
10:00-BOSTON LEGAL/LOST A chance for Boston to maybe get younger viewers or just hold a place until Lost.

THURSDAYS
8:00-UGLY BETTY
9:00-GREY'S ANNATOMY
10:00-CUPID Why not? The Grey's crowd likes Ugly Betty, so a dramey might by the answer.

FRIDAYS
8:00-LIFE ON MARS
9:00-WOMEN'S MURDERS CLUB
10:00-20/20
A detective night sounds like it could work.

Replacements: Oprah's Big Give, Supernanny, Wifeswap, Bachlor, Section 8, This Might Hurt, Literary Superstar

Performance night on "Dancing" is now always going to be 90 minutes, not 60 (well, 92 minutes, most of the time, except next Monday when it will be 98 minutes). Pick either "Samantha" or "Bad Mothers" for 9:32.

Jonathan there are some good ideas, here..but I tend to agree with Marc re: ACCORDING TO JIM..is the half-hour sitcom business so bereft of talent that they have to keep it on year after year after year (yes, it is better than last fall's selection of losers Cavemen, etc, but still!) Also, I tend to doubt Eli Stone will come back, unless their one-hour dramedy pilots are a bust.

ABC will have very very few pilots to even look at for this fall as most are shooting in July. Eli Stone is definitely the weakest of the three bubble dramas but it still has a shot. ABC likes the show and its produced in house.

ABC has some huge issues with viewer erosion - and they are so vulnerable because their shows repeat terribly. This network, more than anyone should split their season into two.

SUNDAY
7:00 America's Funniest Home Videos
8:00 Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
9:00 Desperate Housewives
10:00 Eli Stone (fall)/Dirty Sexy Money (Jan)

MONDAY
8:00 Ugly Betty
9:00 Private Practice
10:00 Boston Legal

ABC puts three familiar shows here that skew female and can run year-round

TUESDAY
8:00 Wife Swap
9:00 Supernanny
10:00 20/20

This has been a black hole for ABC. Might as well go cheap and get what you can.

WEDNESDAY
8:00 DWTS/Pushing Daisies/DWTS
9:00 DWTS/Cupid/DWTS
9:30 Samantha Who/Cupid/Samantha Who
10:00 Life On Mars/Lost

PD and Cupid get 13 weeks in between DWTS. DWTS can start with maybe 4 two hour episodes to give LOM a strong lead in. Then shift it to 90 min for SW. Then the 8:00-10:00 goes the fantasy route during the DWTS hiatus.

THURSDAY
8:00 DWTS/The Bachelor
9:00 Grey's Anatomy
10:00 Brothers & Sisters

UB's numbers have earned it a move out of Thursday. A 2.5-3.0 18-49 would work just fine for Monday. DWTS probably wins 18-49 on Thursday against Survivor and this lineup would likely make ABC dominant.

FRIDAY
8:00 Cedric The Entertainer/Oprah's Big Give
8:30 Samantha Who (repest)/Oprah's Big Give
9:00 According To Jim/Newlyweds
9:30 Scrubs/Newyleds
10:00 Women's Murder Club

We won't ever see these many changes. I highly doubt comedies aside from maybe Jim or Scrubs will air on Fridays. I expect a couple new comedies on Tuesdays with the only place a new drama may show up being Sunday or Thursday behind the heavy hitters. I think Dirty Sexy Money is Sunday or Monday bound for some reason and that Brothers and Sisters will complement Pushing Daisies and Private Practice on Wednesdays.

Interesting lineup Eddie. I like your Mondays and Tuesday schedules. I think you mean Boston Legal instead of Boston Public and I agree that BL would fit with the PP audience. Another show needs to go in the Sunday 10 PM slot but I don't know if WMC is the correct one.

I say let Section 8 take over for Eli. To me, Eli looks like it'll turn out just like October Road or Notes from the Underbelly.

I like PD after a hit show, but the 10pm slot after Grey's seems a bit weak to me. Plus 10pm seems a bit to late for the show. It's considered a "family show".
