thanks travis. do you think Barnes or Spell Bound still have a chance to make it on the fall schedule?

Also what comedies do you think will make it? I'm thinking Eight Days a week and Dash 4 Cash/Aliens in America.

Maybe it's not too late for NBC to resucitate it's WB pickup "Nobody's Watching", which I think would have made a perfect companion show for 30 Rock.

Is there even a glimmer of hope that "Nobody's Watching" could make a spectacular re-bound given NBC's dissatisfaction with its comedy pilot crop?

yeah, i'm hearing PUSHING DAISIES also got the "hire writers" go ahead and MARLOWE is setting directors up, too.

... and that NBC *hates* all its comedies. maybe Scrubs will be sticking around...?

based on script alone, the only comedy i'd pick up is 8 days a week... but where do you put it?

as far as the dramas... buzz is just buzz. nothing is official until May 17th.

The CW one still matches Travis:

CW is bullish on Gossip Girls, a new series from O.C. creator Josh Schwartz that's based on a series of teen novels, and on Reaper, about a bounty hunter (Bret Harrison) who reclaims souls that escaped from hell. The network also has an untitled family drama set in South Africa from producer Michael Rauch that is high on the list of contenders.

Not to mention, I'd trust Travis before TV Guide.

Has anyone heard any buzz on the Heather Locklear pilot? It seems lately that she's been involved with one clunky pilot after another!

With regards to Reaper, I am willing to bet money that Kevin Smith made the pilot brilliant. I am worried past the pilot if the showrunner/director would be able to keep it on that level.

I hope Nurses catches on a bit more. I am liking it more and more.

Why is Wild at Heart now an untitled show?

Maybe because the BBC started their version with the name and they want to seperate the two?

that didn't seem to conflict. a lot of what they mentioned were comedies, but everything about the dramas matches the pilot buzz i heard and posted (remember, I didn't have any NBC info)...

Here's short word on NBC pilots:

quote:
NBC
The network with the most needs. Execs have screened everything.

HOT
1. BIONIC WOMAN (NBC Uni TV): Serious about.
2. CHUCK (WBTV) Serious about.
3. JOURNEYMEN (20th)
4. LIPSTICK JUNGLE (NBC Uni TV): Slam dunk.
5. UNTITLED DAVID SHORE SHOW (NBC Uni TV)

WARM
1. FORT PIT (Apostle/Sony)
2. M.O.N.Y. (NBC Uni TV)

http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/primetime-pilot-panic-handicapping/

I'm eager to see (in no particular order):

ABC

1. Private Practice - The Grey's Anatomy episode was a bit uneven, but I think this has potential.

2. Football Wives - Yeah, it's probably supposed to appeal to women, but this could be guilty-pleasure material.

3. Dirty, Sexy, Money - been hearing nothing but good things

CBS

1. The Man - I like LL Cool J.

2. Protect and Serve - synopsis reminds me a bit of Boomtown. Speaking of Boomtown, wouldn't that show have worked out ALOT better on CBS?

NBC

1. The Bionic Woman - Sci-fi action...with a woman whose bionic.

2. Lipstick Jungle - the anti-Grey's Anatomy? I'm in. Plus, I like Brooke Shields.

3. M.O.N.Y - Spike Lee is one of my favorite directors.

FOX

1. Nurses - Eliza Dushku...'Nuff said.

2. K-Ville - could be compelling, could be crappy

3. Sarah Connor Chronicles - probably the pilot I'm most excited about.

4. Them - Hmmm..."alien spies on earth" I'm in.

5. Back to You - great, veteran cast with tons of experience doing comedy between them...What could go wrong?

6. The Minister of Devine - haven't heard too much about this, but I'm curious to see Kirstie's Alley network television comeback

7. The Return of Jezebel James - I have a crush on Parker Posey, too.

CW

Hmmm...not much. Gossip Girl, I guess.

Hearing the NBC is giving the go-ahead to hire writers on BIONIC WOMAN and LIFE (guess that refutes whoever was originally spread the bad buzz about BW being "a mess") and FOX is giving the go-ahead on K-VILLE.

According to the Star of Reaper, he said it was a stupid horror show. With Kevin Smith I have a feeling it's going to be a slap stick comedy type show. "Jay and Silent Bob" anyone.

I don't see it doing well against Grey's and CSI...

They do need to move Supernatural to a new night, get it out of the way so it can grow in viewers.
