While the writers strike against the producers and the networks, I think TCM shall proved to be source of great refuge for nights like tonight when original scripted fare is nowhere to be found upon the broadcasters.

8:00 pm Dark Victory (TCM) -> Miss Bette Davis at her absolute, tragedy-endearing best.

10:30 pm Love Story (TCM) -> I still remember how sad this movie made me feel, first when I saw it on the big screen and practically had to be carried out of the theatre by my 'it's-only-a-movie'-reminding companions, and the second time, when it premiered on The ABC Sunday Night Movie in 1972 and garnered a 42.3 household rating and a 63% share. Network programmers hankering for those days gone past, it's time to get out your handkerchiefs!
