Tonight is a supreme night for quality, compelling television.
MY THURSDAY PRIME:
LIVE:
8:00 pm Smallville (The CW) -> It's been a while since I watched this series, but the adverts promise a return of the Green Arrow tonight, and that character always raises the bar on this series.
Find yourself Lost this Thursday on ABC
9:00 pm Lost (ABC) -> Who are the Oceanic Six?
10:02 pm Eli Stone (ABC) -> Nice to see that, at last, ABC has another strong 10 pm performer to join Brothers & Sisters, 20/20 and Boston Legal.
LATER:
9:00 pm Supernatural (The CW) -> Glad to see that Supernatural did well enough last week up against the Lost premiere phenomenon.
10:00 pm Lipstick Jungle (NBC) -> I'm going to give this show a whirl because I absolutely adore Miss Brooke Shields.
Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites (Season Premiere): Generally good-looking people with worsening hygiene sharing cramped, sandy quarters, subsisting on a couple of grains and rice, and buckling under the pressure of a win-or-go-home scenario — what's not to love? Survivor has managed to come up with new conflicts, new challenges and new locations for 16 seasons now, and this one is no exception: Some of the best-liked players from seasons past are back, and this time they're taking on their biggest fans.Who's who: Jeff Probst has been the host of Survivor since Season 1, when the contestants were cast away in Borneo. This season, familiar faces return to the competition, like last season's gentle giant James, the gravedigger, Cook Islands' likable jack-of-all-trades Ozzy, and Fiji's sympathetic underdog Yau-Man.What's next: With new challenges and a brand-new premise, this season should be one to remember.
Celebrity Apprentice Good news: George returns tonight!!! Bad News: He's with Donald Jr. Tonight: The celeb contingent must create a living window display for a mattress company. George Ross and Donald Trump Jr. observe the project, while fashion designer Vera Wang makes an appearance
Lost A great promising start last week. Tonight: The survivors begin to question the intentions of their supposed rescuers when four strangers arrive on the island.
Eli Stone Each week's episode is a different George Michael Song. Tonight in an episode called "Freedom": After two weeks without visions, Eli is reluctant to take the case of a Mexican couple, who are suing a produce conglomerate for their use of pesticides. But he changes his mind after another round of hallucinations. What's gonna happen when they run out of his hits?
Cable Alerts!
Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares (BBCAmerica) The BBC Version is a great way to tide you over until the American Version makes it's return. Tonight: The Priory - A buffet restaurant located in a 19th-century chapel is losing $10,000 a week due its lazy staff, bad food and steep discounts.
Last Restaurant Standing (BBC America) Survivor is not the only Premiere tonight. Over the course of 14 weeks, nine couples with little or no experience will be asked to take over an empty restaurant and turn it into a money-making showpiece in only a week. Raymond Blanc, owner of two Michelin starred restaurants hosts the series and he’s not going to let these couples slide by on a dream. This is going to be hard work and with that will come sweat, tears and maybe some blood (ooh, watch the knife!)
Like all good reality shows, the couples will live and work together - and if you think the mothers and daughters are bad on Crowned, wait until you see husbands and wives go at it.
Celebrity Detox w/ Dr. Drew (VH1) A fun filled hour of your favorite D Listers getting clean. Tonight: The patients begin to show progress, thanks to some emotionally charged group-therapy sessions.

Live: 8 - Survivor (CBS) - Was a die-hard fan of this show for quite awhile, and then suddenly just lost interest. I'll give this cycle one try to hook me, though I only remember two of the favorites from when I watched. 9 - Lost (ABC) 10 - Eli Stone (ABC)
My DVR seems to be broken, but if I get it fixed I'll record Lipstick Jungle (NBC) just to see if the cast changes help. Didn't like the initial pilot. wiseguy's news about the return of George makes me almost want to tune into Apprentice. Almost.
