COMEDY:

The Simpsons (Fox at 8:00)
Malcom in the Middle's Jane Kaczmarek voices a judge who sets in motion a chain of events that lead to Grampa and Selma becoming a couple. As Homer and Patty put aside their differences to break up the blossoming romance, Lisa and Bart team up to con a deliveryman out of cardboard boxes.

The Winner (Fox at 8:30 & again w/another NEW episode at 9:30)
Two tales of the Rob Corddry comedy airing an hour apart begin with Glen coping with his parents' deteriorating marriage by embracing Alison, her son Josh and her new boyfriend as his surrogate clan. Then, Glen dons a toupee and re-creates himself as a dashing airline pilot when he accompainies Josh to a spelling bee in Alany.

Desperate Houswives (ABC at 9:00)
Wisteria Lane is a battlefield in this October repeat, which kicked the Solises' "War of the Roses" into high gear and created a huge rift between the Scavos over the little matter of Tom's pizza parlor.

Family Guy (Fox at 9:00)
In a story that recalls former President Bush's move to The Simpsons Springfield, former prez Bill Clinton (voiced by Seth McFarlane) begins spending a lot of his time in Quahog, with new buddy Peter. But the pair's running around runs afoul of Lois.

DRAMA:

Without a Trace (CBS at 10:00)
Jack's day off is interrupted when he's called in to investigate the disappearnace of a U.S. senator who, he and the team discover, was in the middle of a political contoversy.

Brothers & Sisters (ABC at 10:01)
One family crisis is settled and another one erupts in November's top-notch episode looking back at the effects of 9/11 on the Walkers and impact of Justin's decision to join the military.

The Winner didn't get much better tonight. I think this show is a goner.

I find the War at Home to be television's lowest form of comedy. Even the Winner, with all its creepiness, is better than the War at Home, imo.

The War at Home is a very ghost like imitation of Married...With Children (a show I like very much). Stereotypical humor with bad acting.

It tries to imitate Married with Children but I honestly think Married...with Children is still better. That show belongs in a class of its own.
