Dumont Prime Choices

A busy night, with lots of good choices abounding.

MY TUESDAY PRIME:

LIVE:

8:00 pm CNN Election Centre (CNN) -> Keeping me posted on the Republicann and Democrat races.

My Tuesdays are Crimetime in Primetime on MyNetworkTV
9:00 pm – Jail (MyNetworkTV) -> MyNetworkTV's crimetime in primetime verite tonight takes a look at the jailing of Mr. O.J. Simpson. It's a MyNetworkTV exclusive, and I think the audiences will go very high for this episode, and I'm talking 6 million plus territory.
Jail: "Watch the Juice Get Squeezed...Again"

9:30 pm Carpoolers (ABC) -> I'll watch it as a bridge to Boston Legal. Hopefully, Caveman takes this slot when Carpoolers runs out of originals.

10:00 pm Boston Legal (ABC) -> All fans of this series are sitting with Mr. Kelley on the bubble as the 2008-09 renewal of this outstanding series remains a mystery from now until upfront. A nice Nielsen tonight would help a bit.

LATER:

9:00 pm One Tree Hill (CW) -> Last week was good. Is that nanny up to no good or what? And Nathan, spying upon her midnight naked swims, very naughty.

10:00 pm Jericho (CBS) -> I watched almost all the fall episodes last season, but missed most of the winter set. Hopefully tonights episode will lead off with a nice little clip summary of how it all ended up last season (I remember some sort of drama at a bridge).

6 million on MNT???
CW can't even get over 6 million, let alone MNT.

I'd say 2-3 million. Isn't the network's record like 3 million as it is?

Live:
8 - CNN Election Center (CNN) - I've watched coverage of this fascinating primary season on the three main cable news channels and the three broadcast nets, and I like CNN's delegate-focused coverage the best. Gotta tune in tonight, as the primaries hit my region of the country.
10 - Boston Legal (ABC)

DVR:
10 - Jericho (CBS)

XWISEGUYX's PICKS 2 CLICK 4 TUESDAY!

The Biggest Loser Couples! (NBC) Who will be eliminated tonight? The players meet with doctors for updates on their health improvements. Also: Jillian's psychotherapist mother stops by to help the contestants determine what issues caused them to become heavy.

Big Brother 9: Til Death Do Us Part
A special treat as a result of the strike! The ninth season begins with 16 houseguests entering the compound and being paired up with their so-called "soul mate." The eight pairs will play the game together, share Head of Household duties and be evicted as a couple. Julie Chen is back the host.

Boston Legal
Scott Bakula Alert! This show consistently never fails to entertain me. Tonight: After enlisting Alan and Denny to help her friend, who's suing her town for its decision to build a nuclear power plant, Shirley discovers that the opposing counsel is her college sweetheart (Scott Bakula), a fact that is not lost on Carl Sack. Meanwhile, Leigh (Mary Gross) warns Katie to steer clear of her boyfriend, Jerry. Will she go back to romancing her clock radio? Stay tuned!

Cable Alerts!

Lots to DVR tonight as well!
10 Items or Less (TBS)
Reminds me of The Office, but not quite as funny, but funny enough to tide us over until the post strike episodes are ready and the show returns. Tonight!
Leslie and studly butcher Todd bond over the idea of a new Greens & Grains venture, in which customers can choose the cow they want butchered. But getting approval from the FDA proves "udderly" difficult. Meanwhile, Buck squires Richard to an ice-skating audition.

Nip/Tuck (FX)
A TV critic shows Sean the ugly side of Hollywood; Matt experiences a special bond with one of Christian's patients; Julia finally finds out why she has been ailing. Marc Berman guest stars. (ha, just kidding - too bad though.)

The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (Oxygen)

A fun season prepares for another smashing ending in Part 2 of this 2 Part Season Finale.
Tonight!Part 2 of 2. Conclusion. There's Miami spice in the Season 3 finale when the models' stay in Florida continues. Included: The posers must shed more than inhibitions at a fashion show; Janice feuds with a client; and Janice has a crucial meeting with partner Peter. Will hunky Dominic Figlio make an appearance? And what about hunky ex-survivor contestant, & now out of the closet JP Calderon? Stay tuned!

Last Restaurant Standing (BBC America) This is definitely a fun show with 9 couples competing to open their own restaurant by getting their restaurant of their own to run! Who will be the first eliminated! Chef Raymond Blanc hosts the series and will provide financial backing for the winning team to open their own new restaurant. Check this one out.

What is CBS smoking premiering BB against AI? Wouldn't it have made sense for a special premiere on Thursday after Survivor or perhaps at 8 and bump Survivor to 9 for one nite?

It originally was supposed to premiere Sunday Feb 3rd, but not sure why the delay to this night of all times.

Yes it would've made sense but this is CBS and recently CBS execs have been seen eating bananas with the ABC chimps.

I highly doubt it was ever scheduled to debut on Sunday Feb 3rd against the Super Bowl. I think tonight was the debut date from the beginning.

This show does not even do well in the summer, so I don't expect it to do much more than 5-6 million now with the much heavier competition. Tuesdays it will be up against AI or House, and Biggest Loser, which is doing very well. Wednesdays it will be up against AI and DOND. And Sundays it will be up against EM:HE. I don't see this show doing very well at all.
