The reviews for Rules of Engagement are terrible. In fact are the second worse for any new show this season (first place goes to another sitcom In Case of Emergency)

I think viewers are going to flee in droves after Two and a Half Men tonight the minute they sample this. Really bad!

Is that retension or dropoff?

RULES appears to be a better fit for Two and A Half Men than what has aired after it the past couple of seasons.

Marc, you are the expert, but I dont see that many people switching at 9:30 tonight. Just an educated Gut Feeling.

The pilot is really bad, so I imagine it will be very easy to head over to either 24 or Heroes. Usually there is sampling for a new show out of something established, but I would not expect much for The Rules of Engagement.

I predict that Studio 60 will continue to fall in the ratings. They're going to start losing their core audience(I'm one of them!) because this show has completely sold out from the brilliant first half of the season and now is turning into a romantic dramedy.

You're right.

I like the show and will continue watching it, but if/when it dies, I'll just watch something else.

Well I hope that Susan Lee doesn't see this. She is the ultimate Studio 60 fan and she is a very intelligent viewer. Anyone who doesn't like Studio 60 is not the intelligent person Susan hoped you would be. I'm sorry to have to be the one to inform you of this.

Oh shoot, Susan just saw your note and she's calling me. Hello Susan... yes... c'mon she's entitled to her ... I know but she doesn't like Stu.... OK, I'll let her know.

Sorry, but Susan said you aren't worthy of her favorite intellectually stimulating show and should tune into CSI - Miami and hang out with people of your own intellect. Incidentally, you are also officially kicked out of the Masterpiece Theatre Discussion Forum as well. (Please don't get upset with me, I'm just the messenger here.)

LOL! Susan whoever can call me anything she wants! That doesn't take away from the fact that this show is completely changing it's tone. I loved the first half of the season, but the last few eps? Not so much. And I would never watch CSI: Miami.
