ER : The best medical drama on TV returns.

This whole night should be the most competitive NBC has been on a Thursday in quite awhile.

I expect this to be the highest rated Thursday night on NBC we have seen in ages.

ER should rise nicely for the return of an original cast member. Just for that, I know I'll be watching ER.

Nothing on Thursday. Again, not a good lineup.

I'll watch ER to see Gloria Reuben, and I might watch the Ugly Betty rerun.

Lifetime is running the 2005 film "Junebug", which features an Oscar-nominated performance by Amy Adams ("Enchanted"), along with fine performances by Embeth Davitz, Celia Weston, and Scott Wilson. It's a step above Lifetime's usual movies.

Also, if you've never seen an actual Iowa caucus, CSPAN and CSPAN-2 run coverage of an actual caucus from each party. (I believe that the Democratic caucus is on CSPAN and the Republican caucus on CSPAN-2.)

9:00pm Celebrity Apprentice [season 7 premiere]

This will be my first real sampling of the show, so I hope the celebrity edition is at least decent.

Go Gene Simmons!!!!

Any guesses on the viewer total for Apprentice tonight?

Personally I wish they had just brought back a regular edition without the celebrities (would you call them celebrities?) and with George and Carolyn. But I know Carolyn was fired by Trump and George has gotten very old. So I will still sample it tonight.

My guess is with the all repeat competition, it gets around 11-12 million.

Yes, there are a lot of them here .

I fully agree about having a regular edition. I would have been happy with Bill Rancic and Ivanka as the judges. Donald Jr is too awful for words.

Hmmm. I was going to watch Celebrity Apprentice -- but now that dumont has pointed out that Gone in Sixty Seconds is going to be on MNTV, I may have to alternate back and forth. I'm an Apprentice fan, but GISS is one of my favorite movies, and I haven't seen it a good while. And I don't have DVR.
