Maybe a CSI rerun.

Other than that, I'll be watching stuff off the DVR and VHS tapes from last week.

According to the futon critic, Earl and 30 Rock have been dumped from tomorrow's schedule in exchange for an extra hour of Clash of the Choirs.

Dumont Prime Choices

MY THURSDAY PRIME:

LIVE:

8:00 pm Over 21 (TCM) -> Tonights movie is part of the month-long tribute to Miss Irene Dunne, an exceptional comedienne. This is one of the few films of her vast filmography that I have not seen.

10:00 pm - The Office (NBC) -> If NBC could add a few more comedies to its line-up, perhaps the hour-long Office would fit nicely into the Thursday 10 pm timeslot, freeing up ER to attract viewers to another time period.

LATER:

8:00 pm Clash of the Choirs (NBC) -> This musical reality series has surprised me, and I think its perfectly light fare for the holidays, though I detest all the American Idol-parrot oversinging that afflicts a few of the choirs. As a format, I like that its all contained within a week. I truly hope NBC keeps the week-long format if it re-visits this series...to watch it over a few months instead, and all the unnecessary filler that stretched out reality entails, would not attract my viewership. This is a series best watched via DVR to capture the musical numbers and FF through all the boring bits.

My Place for the Holidays is MyNetworkTV
8:00 pm – Big (MNT) -> I haven't seen this feature directed by Miss Penny Marshall in a long time, so it will be my prime VCR viewing for sometime this weekend.

Nada for me but I may catch Duel online on Friday. That show's been pretty entertaining.

probably 8 - Duel (ABC) unless the series somehow got awful tonight
maybe a little 9 - Don't Forget the Lyrics (Fox) if I have nothing better to do

Duel - this show was much better last night being in the 60 minute format! They cut out some stuff like the interviews with the 3 prospective contestants and overall, the pace was much faster (although I still wouldn't want to watch this live, but I say that for almost everything). No doubt now that the 90 minutes shows were just stretched out because ABC doesn't have anything else worthy to air.

When is Dennis Weaver going to make his apperance?? Hopefully he finally lost that Trucker that was following him.

Dennis Weaver is supporting the writer's strike from the grave. Due to his inability to come back to life, they got the Director of Duel, Steven Spielberg, to stop by and sink another show.

AMC is running the last two episodes of the first season of Mad Men tonight and next Thursday at 10 ET. ("Nixon vs. Kennedy" airs tonight, "The Wheel" airs next Thursday.)

Probably "Big" (haven't seen it in a long, long time and I love that movie) and "The Office" (hey ... a rerun of "The Office" is better than no episode of "The Office" at all).
