Live: NFL Championship Games 10 - Breaking Bad (series premiere) (AMC)
DVR: 12 - Mad Men (R) (AMC) - Stockpiling a DVR collection of the double Globe winner, which will be running from the beginning Sundays at midnight. If you haven't sampled this great show yet, here's your chance.
7:00 pm The Age of Warming (CBS) -> CBS very rarely pre-empts 60 Minutes, but I guess they fear the drawing power of an NFL championship game. I remember the days when CBS used to regularly schedule news documentaries (CBS Reports), but those days might have gone with the departure of the hard-news-oriented Mr. Rather.
8:00 pm Life is Wild (CW) -> Only a few more originals left before this series goes on hiatus and yields the timeslot to comedies.
10:00 pm Breaking Bad (AMC) -> I completely echo SW and spotupj's choice of this exciting new series. Mad Men was easily the best series of 2007, and so richly deserved its Golden Globe win.
LATER:
9:00 pm Masterpiece...The Complete Jane Austen: Northanger Abbey (PBS) -> PBS is now going after the young adult demo in their re-branding of the classic "Masterpiece Theatre" into the new "Masterpiece" series, now hosted by Miss Gillian Anderson, ex of X-Files. Last week, "Masterpiece" kicked off a series of dramas based on the novels of Miss Jane Austen and "Persuasion" was first up. Tonights drama is "Northanger Abbey". Pledge-week is just around the corner...I must get out my chequebook!
