Out of town, so:

Record:
8 - Ghost Whisperer (CBS)
9 - Moonlight (CBS)
11 - Doctor Who encore (SciFi)

Online:
what appears to be the series finale of 9 - Duel (ABC) - Though it filmed several more eps, it seems to be indefinitely preempted moving forward. Can't blame ABC for that move.

Dumont Prime Choices

Tonight is the ninth night of the May Sweep, and a pretty good night ahead for television viewing. I'm on the road this week, so I'm able to sample some cablers that I don't normally have access to.

MY FRIDAY PRIME:

LIVE:

8:00 pm The Sarah Jane Adventures (SCIFI) -> I'm going to give this series a try tonight...I've really enjoyed Doctor Who over the years, as well as the Torchwood spin-off.

9:00 pm Larry King Live (CNN) -> Mr. Sidney Poitier is the guest tonight, and what a magnificent career he has had. Should be a thorough joy to watch.

10:00 pm American Passages: A Literary Survey (CUNY) -> Tonight's episode is titled "Gothic Undercurrents", and its a survey of the literature of Mr. Nathaniel Hawthorne and Mr. Herman Melville, two authors whom I've enjoyed reading over the years.

LATER:

8:00 pm Ghost Whisperer (CBS) -> What a perfectly compatable slot-mate Ghost Whisperer has been for Moonlight all season when they ran together...it's Numbers that needs to move to another night (Tuesday?) to make room for another supernatural or scifi show at 10 pm.

9:00 pm Moonlight (CBS) -> I have four bubble hopes for renewal in this upcoming upfront...Moonlight, Men in Trees, Reaper and New Amsterdam...one for each network yet to announce fall plans. I would be so pleased to see these four series make the cut. Everything else not renewed, I can let go of, but these four series are special and worthy of renewal for their artistry and importance.

Has ABC gone tottally crazy, a special about the Sistine Chapel? I would watch it maybe on Discovery but come on, aren't there more interesting subjects?

Tonight's episode of Doctor Who is very good -- certainly way better than last week's. I recommend it.
