Dumont Prime Choices

Without a doubt, this is the most anticipated night of television of the 2007-08 season. Tomorrow at 8 pm, the phone is off the hook, the computer shall be put into sleep mode, the lights turned down, a Glenlivet in hand as I find myself Lost all over again.

MY THURSDAY PRIME:

LIVE:
Find yourself Lost this Thursday on ABC

8:00 pm Lost (ABC) -> The most anticipated night of television will be made all the more excruciating by starting things off with a clipshow of where we've been before.

9:00 pm Lost (ABC) -> “We have to go back, Kate…we have to go back!”

10:02 pm Eli Stone (ABC) -> 'Cause I gotta have faith-a-faith-a-faith. I do hope this breaks out huge for ABC. It has the signature imprint of Mr. Berlanti, and it would be so sweet to see Mr. Jonny Lee Miller, a star of the cinema, ride a hit on ABC after CBS so desultorously let the sublime "Smith" tumble off the air into oblivion.

LATER:

8:00 pm Democratic Debate in LAX (CNN) -> The last debate was such a donnybrook, and I'm looking forward to this next dust-up in the City of Angels.

9:00 pm Supernatural (The CW) -> When ABC announced Lost for Thursdays, my elation was subdued by a concern for the Nielsens of the young Winchesters. One hopes that across America, there are DVRs, VCR's or the recording equipment of friends and family being deployed to at least ensure that Supernatural gets a healthy LIVE+7.

Supernatural, for me; and I'm also considering checking out Eli Stone, or DVRing it for later viewing.

dumont, Aside from Supernatural, my night is the same as yours. LOST is absolutely the most anticipated show of the season for me, and the only remaining must-see: I expect Eli Stone may become a companion viewing habit as well. Then, if time allows, I'll go through the high/low points of the Democratic debate...

Just thinking out loud like I always do, but why in the world is tonight the night the CW is bringing back Smallville and Supernatural? Season lows imo on the way. Wouldn't it have made more sense to air a couple new eps in January and just sacrifice this night to Lost? Then schedule remaining new eps for the rest of sweeps and into March (for Smallville). It just doesn't make any sense.

I'll probably give Eli Stone a shot. I liked Ally Mcbeal (sometimes) and this show has Natasha Henstridge as a bonus. Anything she is in is worth a look.

No, I actually watch these shows, even in repeats.

I am not a LOST fan, so thats out
Eli Stone is not my type of show... OUT
Celebrity Apprentice is not as appealing with out My Man, Gene Simmons

I may watch 5th Grader, but it is not a Must See show for me... yet.

An there is not one show on The CW that I find worth Watching.

You know, sometimes I can see an episode or two that are worth watching twice, but usually don't you just get bored with the same episode? I guess maybe I'm just insane and have too much on my plate, but repeats are never in the viewing pattern for me. I'd rather pick up another new show. I get that Lost is not for you, but you haven't even seen Eli Stone so I don't know how you can judge that. The show is getting excellent reviews, although judged by some of the stuff you enjoy *cough Without a Trace cough*, critics probably mean nothing to you. Wink
