Fridays have been the best night of TV for much of the strike, but after tonight all my favorites will be gone.

8 - 1 vs. 100 (season finale) (NBC)
9 - Monk (season finale) (USA)
9 - Amnesia (series premiere) (NBC) - Unless this one impresses, I'll be ignoring Friday altogether for a little while.

If home, I may check out Price is Right also.

Dumont Prime Choices

I agree with spotupj...Fridays have lost a bit of their lustre with the hiatus of "Friday Night Lights" and "Moonlight"...thankfully, MyNetworkTV still programs interesting feature films on Friday nights!

MY FRIDAY PRIME:

LIVE:
Fridays are My Night for Movies on MyNetworkTV
8:00 pm – Hendrix (MyNetworkTV) -> This 2000 Showtime made-for-television movie receives its broadcast debut on MyNetworkTV, and it looks at the life of Mr. Jimmy Hendrix.

10:00 pm Fawlty Towers (PBS) -> I do love this series so.

LATER:

9:00 pm Amne$ia (NBC) -> I'll give this a sample.

9:00 pm 20/20 (ABC) -> One of those "what would you do" special eps.

AMNESIA 9pm

Yes, the absence of FNL is felt in this corner as well.

Game Show Night on Network TV!

1 vs. 100: Still without a doubt, the best prime time game show out there. Although the "regular" cast of Mob celebs are definitely annoying and not adding any entertainment value to the show. If anything, I'd prefer a regular cast of everyday people who know how to play the game!! Anyways, enough ranting, tonight - A pop-culture wizard from Los Angeles and a Texas beauty queen mix it up against the mob in cerebral contests. Mobsters include Sommore; Ross Mathews; Richard Rubin; Oscar the Grouch; and Playboy's Dahm triplets (who are as dumb as they look.)

The Price is Right Million Dollar Spectacular! How will it do against my other favorite 1 vs. 100. My guess is that it will come out on top and put a dent into Amne$ia's ratings. Smart move CBS. Come on down!' Contestants guess retail values for prizes on TV's longest-running game show. Bob Barker racked up over a dozen hosting Emmys since CBS first aired the daytime staple in 1972, though it originated with Bill Cullen on NBC (1956-63) and ABC (1963-65). However, it was the genial, ageless Barker who really sold viewers on the show, which spawned several syndicated offshoots and a string of prime-time specials. When Barker retired in 2007, Drew Carey stepped in to ably fill his shoes. This will be the first telecast in glorious High Definition!

Amne$ia Debut: Contestants test their memories in this comical quiz show featuring questions based on their lives. First up: A California man takes a trip down memory lane. Dennis Miller hosts. Only 4 episodes ordered so check it out while you can.

Cable Alert!

Real Time With Bill Maher (HBO): This remains the best of the Political Shows out there and with the upcoming elections, it's of more interest than ever. Journalists Tom Brokaw and Matt Taibbi are the interview guests. Panelists: commentator David Frum; Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.); political analyst Amy Walter. Season Finale!

season finales of Monk and Psych. For the longest time I never sampled Psych, then tried it last week and now I'm hooked!

Also Stargate: Atlantis, although I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the lack of direction on that show this season -- I would call it uneven, but that would imply there were also some excellent episodes, which there haven't been this season.

I don't understand why NBC has not made 1 vs 100 a regular part of the schedule. They had an 8 episode season, and now it is done after tonight. All things considered, the show does very well in the ratings. Not a blockbuster at all, but it does very well.
