How is CBS doing season to date vs last year? I'm going to guess they are down as abc has taken a bite out of THursdays and NBC seems to be doing the same on Mondays.
-Season to-date Ratings Scorecard: Midway through the 2006-07 season (and one week into the return of Fox’s American Idol), what follows are the season- to-date standings for the five networks. With American Idol at the forefront, it won’t be long before Fox moves from fourth to potentially first among key adults 18-49.
Year-to-year percent comparisons for ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox appear in parentheses.

Do you think Prison Break is as good this season? I think it's lost a lot of the buzz.

For all of the talk about CBS' being down, ABC is actually doing much worse. They better hope that DWTS and Lost return with a vengence or it will be a tough upfront for them in May.
My partner and I still love Prison Break. I like the new direction it has taken with Kellerman working with the two leads. I actually like this show better than 24 because it has a lot of suspense without whole cities of people getting killed (as well as 75% of the cast) regularly. Prison Break proves that you can have an interesting and suspenseful show without tons of bloodshed every week. (Not so say it doesn't have some, but compared to 24....)

"Buzz" and quality are not necessarily linked. Just because a show is not the subject of media over kill doesn't mean its not good. Besides, did this show ever have a lot of so-called buzz? Its always struck me as a bit of an unsung hero, quietly delivering an audience without a lot of hype.

For the completists out there, some additional HUT/share season-to-date data for the additional three national broadcast webs:
-Households: PBS 1.4/2, MNT 0.6/1, PAX 0.4/1

I usually agree 100% with WiseGuy, but I am going to have to disagree on this one. My partner and I love Prison Break and have watched faithfully since Episode One. However, we thought this season started off great and has gone downhill. It has ventured into territory where it is beyond belief and somewhat cartoon-ish. This is not to say it is not highly enjoyable, but we don't love it to the level we did last year.
We had never watched 24 before this season. We are going to have to get the previous seasons on DVD. We have watched the first 5 hours of this season and we are hooked. We definitely think 24 is the best drama on TV right now (up there fighting Grey's Anatomy for the crown). Even with the bloodshed and cast killing, it is such a heart-pounding ride, we are hooked!
I think that Prison Break and 24 are a GREAT pairing for Fox on Monday nights. With Heroes through in too, Monday night has become action-packed!
Funny, with all the talk about CBS and its older viewers, by the end of this week, CBS will most likely have a (.3) lead over the other three nets in the 18-49 demo. Proof, I guess, that older skewing doesn't mean you can't also have considerable total demo numbers.
Of course, FOX is charging ahead and will probably pass all by the end of May.
This is what I predicted on another thread a couple of weeks ago:
