-Heroes: Cast members host a countdown show. Included: a review of important plot points; a lineup of suspects in Nathan's shooting; a look at the special-effects process; a sample of translated episodes airing internationally; and an exploration of the series' subtle nods to "Star Trek."

Primetime broadcast televisions 61st season kicks off tonight...congratulations to ABC, CBS and NBC for lasting it out all these years...a tear shed for the DuMont Television Network, who broadcast for only one all-to-brief decade before getting the chop.
LIVE: 8:00 pm Heroes Countdown Party (NBC) -> There's nothing better than to kick off a new season with a sizzling party. 9:00 pm Heroes (NBC) -> It better not disappoint again this year.
LATER (DVR): 8:00 pm Gossip Girl (The CW) -> I totally get why this series is now in ascendancy mode, adding viewers and demo each week. 9:00 pm One Tree Hill (The CW) -> This season is much better than last. 10:01 pm Boston Legal (ABC) -> Wouldn't it be grand if Mr. Kelley could fashion yet another spin-off out of this series, just like he did from The Practice.
LATER (VCR): 8:30 pm How I Met Your Mother (CBS) -> I just know CBS's best comedy will continue to excel...glad to see the sizeable sydie pot of gold coming soon for this series. 9:30 pm Worst Week (CBS) -> The promos are inane, but the buzz on this series prompt me to check it out once.

Live: 8 - Big Bang (CBS) 8:30 - HIMYM (CBS) 9 - Heroes (NBC) - I was one of the many outspoken about the show's suckiness last year, and I thought it was somewhat overrated even during the Season 1 glow. I am done if they don't impress me early on tonight, because I'll have better shows waiting on record.
