He was saying that if they put AI there, then they could do damage. I agree, the OC will be slaughtered (again).
As for TV this weekend:
CSI R on CBS tonight Sunday: Desperate Housewives, Without A Trace, Reba and 7th Heaven. 4 full hours!!

Last season, The OC only held 30% of the AI lead-on for an original episode...and that translated to just over 7 million. I strongly doubt anything higher than that for the finale. AI will make an impact, but Thursdays @ 9 is too tough for FOX to compete powerfully, even with AI leading in.
Especially for adolescent girls, they're not going to miss their McDreamy even if it costs them the finale of a show they haven't watched in years.

Marc, just a quick question, on the CW website, why yould they advertise Reba as a season finale instead of series finale, just curious, unless it was just an overlooked error?
Given their treatment of the show, maybe they were afraid that a series finale might draw more viewers.

You know what -- I'm not sure. That makes absolutely no sense because a series-finale is usually a bigger draw.

Originally posted by vlis: I think it is because of the thursday Idol airing. MIT is not on either because of the Oprah Oscar special.

I just thought it was because ABC only has 22 episodes of Ugly Betty to show in the season. BY my estimates they have already show 16 episodes. 4 need to be saved for end of April-May sweeps which leaves 2 for March--April. Whenever a network doesn't show you coming attractions of its next episode, you know you are in for a long haul without new episodes. And I think we are coming up on the March-April deluge of repeats and specials. Argh!!!!
It was a good idea to rest Betty against the Death Star.

Tonght I am watching Reba, 7th Heaven (or Amazing Race, still haven't decided), Desperate Houwewives and Brothers & Sisters. It's going to be weird without Reba on Sundays.

I think the bigger the Reba Finale is the bigger the 7th Heaven Audience will be. I think the CW should of made Reba end at 8:01 to lead right into 7th Heaven. The real question is how will 7th Heaven do without Reba as a lead in for the rest of the season. Will this be it's last season? Or will the CW decide that since they renewed it, it would look silly to cancel it after just one more season. In my opinion only 5 CW programs are safe: America's Next Top Model, Beauty & the Geek, Everybody Hates Chris Smallville and WWE Friday Night Smackdown!. Anything can happen with their Fall 2007 schedule.

I WISH that's what they would do. but, they are going to put encores of that crappy pussycat doll show. It makes zero sense, wrapping 7th Heaven around repeats of reality shows.
