Probably not. The show has to have upticks in the upcoming weeks to stay on the air.

It has to get to at least a 3 in the demo. 2.2 last night is not going to cut it.

Yeah, I don't think its gonna be there next season with 2.2 in the demo, AI moves out of its time slot next week so let's see what happens. Even if CBS cancels I read somewhere that CW would possibly pick it up, or Sci-fi could pick it up. It would work perfectly in conjunction with Battlestar Galactica.

It'd probably be too expensive for both the CW and Sci-Fi.

I don't see why the CW would want it anyways...but I do think it will be available come May.

I think if it get back to a 3 among 18-49s then it gets renewed. If it doesn't get to a 3, it doesn't get renewed.

It's unfortunate that in recent years whenever CBS trys to experiment with it's drama s and airs something that isn't a crime drama it doesn' work out. Even Ghost Whisperer and The Unit are just mediocre in ratings.

It will be interesting to see the numbers with AI not going up against it. Regardless I think CBS would be foolish to pull it next year.

Those programs could end up being hits when CBS's crime dramas finally grow stale in viewers eyes. I think CBS will end up in bigger trouble than ABC was a few years ago. Imagine if the procedurals all dropped by 20%. CBS would quickly turn very gray.

CBS has some very interesting non-crime drama shows in development that I really hope get picked up. I can't blame them for relying so heavily on crime procedurals, since it is what has been working.

No doubt about that, but I was just trying to state how CBS relies to heavily on the procedurals. All the regular airings plus Tuesdays at 10pm and Saturdays from 8 to 10 is way to much.

By their very nature it is not likely that all serialized shows will collapse at the same time. Each serial is different so chances of all them failing at the same time are slim. If Lost tanks tomorrow, it does not mean that Ugly Betty would also tank and vice-verse. On the other hand all the procedurals are basically the same, every procedural on CBS with an exception of Cold Case is in someways a CSI spin-off; 'Death porn' as someone on this forum termed it.

The term death porn is actually pretty acurate when talking about CSI. How does every episode begin? People in a club- dancing, drinking, heavy groping. Then there's usually three of them that go upstairs to the bedroom, clothes come off, yadda yadda yadda, someone's dead! Call the CSI team!
