So that was the cliffhanger? Totally anticlimatic. I had high expections so as to how they were going to end it. I thought this was very weak for a finale. It was your average 'come back next week to see what happens' type of a cliffhanger. Serialized shows have cliffhangers that make you dread hiatus. this one was 'eh'. Could this be CBS asking the writers to have a close ended ending in case they don't renew it? Maybe its just me but it was a very very weak cliffhanger.
Exactly. The show's not guaranteed to return and unlike the program lost_fan is touting in his or her name, we got a lot of answers last night and a new direction for a possible season two. Good move by the producers.

How many shows from last season had a cliffhanger and then did not come back to resolve it??
I dont think CBS wants to p--- off 8-9 million viewers
Agreed. Although the one thing they did do was kill off the highest-paid actor in the series to show the suits they'll produce it cheaper.
But either be a total cliffhager (ala Dallas, Dynasty, etc.) or don't! Actually, they could have had the battle about to start and the choppers come in, and then all the fighting stops and THEN had Heather see the Freak Flag! One storyline ends...another begins.
Well, I really hope CBS renews it, and then decides to repeat everything over the summer (especially if they move it to Tuesdays or Fridays). If not, maybe Sci-Fi, USA, or F/X will pick it up.

your right, they don't. it does however help for viewers to return the next season
