Here's the new CBS strike bait lineup. Back are Christine, Big Brother, Power of 10 (for a limited time), Jericho, and 2 special Tuesday 48 Hours. Plus the launch of the Captain.
Mondays: How I Met Your Mother (repeats as of Dec. 17) The Captain (Jan. 28 premiere) 2.5 Men (repeats as of Dec. 3rd) New Adventures of Old Christine (Jan. 28 premiere) CSI: Miami (mix of new and repeats)
Tuesday as of Feb. 12th: NCIS repeats Big Brother Jericho
Wednesdays: Power of 10 (Jan. 2nd)/ Big Brother (Feb. 13) Criminal Minds (mix of new and repeats) CSI: NY (mix of new and repeats)
Thursdays: Survivor (Feb. 7) CSI (mix of new and repeats) Without a Trace (mix of new and repeats)
Fridays: No change- mix of new and repeats expected
Saturday: same
Sunday: 60 Minutes Big Brother (Feb. 17) Cold Case Shark
There ya have it! Not half bad for CBS. I think they made end up surviving this better than expected. I do not however, expect anything out of the Captain. Jericho should benefit form having a lead in for once.
I think (hope) BB does about what Biggest Loser is doing now. Of course, Idol will smack BB around. I'm not too concerned, though, because it's not like CBS is putting BB on because they want to -- it's out of necessity, and shouldn't hurt the summer edition.
I don't really see Jericho surviving after it's 7 eps. It's gotten CBS's cursed Tuesday 10pm slot that no show has survived after the cancellation of Judging Amy. Anyways Jericho fans should be happy either way, at lease it got to come back to finish up it's storyline.

I think Jericho survives against an easier slate of programming. Boston Legal will be the only real competition as SVU's repeats have tended to do more and more poorly in recent years. Plus it will finally have a younger skewing lead in with Big Brother.

If there was ever a year that CBS will try to pressure Bruckheimer into another CSI, I'd say its next year.

There was to be a CSI: London, but then they went with CSI: NY instead.
IF another CSI is in the cards, I would prefer they take the location out of the USA. Need something different with the formula. Either a London based show or, my preference, Australia.
Just the different cultures would be fun to watch each week.
If there was another CSI, I'd hope that it would replace one of the two other spin-offs and be international.

The problem would be making it "realistic" to the city where it is set. They have enough trouble capturing New York. Can you imagine them trying to capture London? The way the CSIs are now, they all film in LA with location shots a couple of time a year. For London or Sydney or whatever, they would have to film more on location and have British or Australian writers (because of differences in laws, attitudes, language, etc.). Basically, to make it any good, the show would almost have to be produced completely in that country and imported to the US. When was the last time one of the major networks did something like that?

Thats sounds like a good thing, considering the strike issues right now.
The TV remeake of Mission :Impossible (1988) was mostly done in Australia (crew too), so that is not a major issue. My not be prefered, but the nets do need to start thinking "Out Side The Box" if they want to survive.
I honestly wouldn't mind CBS going after more crime next year, but I think they need to make them crime shows with characters who have lives outside the crime (ala NYPD Blue). The Man sounded like a good concept. I hope they still go forward with it after the strike.
CBS plans to air Showtime shows. (http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/CA6509477.html)
I think that Dexter on CBS would be phenomenal after CSI or Criminal Minds and if Jerrico doesn't work out, then the L Word could possibly be the show to break the Judging Amy curse.
If I recall, some Showtime series aired on CBS last summer to really poor results. Should the eye chose those, then ABC does have a chance to stay in second place. Even October Road will outdo the Showtime programming on CBS. The L Word would clash worse than Cane and Viva Laughlin with CBS's audience.
