Now wait, I remember reading post, after post that BL would do better number once DWtS was its lead in. That it numbers were sucking because of Primetime Live was on at 9pm, over the winter.
Mush - If you look at the production team and solid experienced stars on Viva Laughlin, you will see that this a show worth checking out and should not discount right away. This show is gonna be yuge I tell ya!

Viva Laughlin is certainly like nothing else on TV and at least will have 60 Minutes and Football to give it promotion. Moonlighting is probably in a timeslot that it will do at least moderately well with.

Well, if people aren't smart enough to turn on CBS to watch these "intelligent" shows, then I really question this line of thought.
To me, someone who is educated and urban would be smart enough to watch shows based on the content, not the network. If you actually would discount a show because of the network it was on, I would tend to label you as uneducated and rural. Therefore, people who are uneducated and rural are watching anything but CBS.
Well Said X!

CBS is in trouble. People are tiring of procedurals.
CSI still gets 20 million, and will be the MOST watch scripted show on TV, again, this season.
CSI: Miami just got about 16.5 million viewers Monday and was the highest rated 10pm show in the demo last week (Something LOST viewers like to point out). NCIS still does very well vs AI on Tuesdays. Shark was the most watched new show this season. CM and CSI:NY still packs a good 1-2 punch on Wednesdays.

I stuck with it right until they killed off Gerald McRaney at the end...who was the moral center of the show. It was like killing off Ma Walton or Pa Ingles, if there had been a nuclear terror threat in the 1880s or 1930s...
I stopped caring at that point if they brought it back...the show needed the shot of realism he brought to the formula...
all we knew then was KoQ, Rules... and 3lbs at midseason, Plus a show called Waterfront. Here is the Press release from Last year

I'm just glad TAR will be back.
Shark will probably skew even older out of Cold Case than Without a Trace.
CBS doesn't have alot of shows come midseason. Do they?
Moonlight" takes the slot most observers were expecting to go to the zombie dramedy "Babylon Fields," which is still believed to at least be in contention for a midseason slot, along with the LL Cool J vehicle "The Man" and "Skip Tracer," which stars Stephen Dorff.

Sorry for the IQ comment ... conservative would be a better description.
The conservative states and people 55+ ... that is the CBS audience.
Neither "The Class" nor "Jericho" speak to them.
No, I believe it was be JUST an average show that turned them away. Remember Jericho premired to very good numbers, then the slide began with Episode #2.
The Class wasn't as good in the beginning and by the time it did get better, it was too late to get those lost viewers back.
