for some bizarre reason I cant even start to think about, it was above an advertisement on a bus, whats odd that, this is in the UK. It wasnt even an advert for a CBS show

WTF is the CBS logo doing on a UK bus?

I don't know, but it's time for CBS to get some new graphics. Really.

As for NBC, having all the shows wide screen really bugs me for some reason. I don't like it.

I think there's some sub division of CBS which does advertising aswell.

For awhile, I was seeing the CBS eye under billboards in Ottawa (Canada) and I was just as puzzled.

CBS does have a billboard marketing arm. They sell the billboard space, just as Clear CHannel and Lamar, and others, do. Perhpas CBS Outdooor has an arm also in England.

All through LA, the billboards are marked CBS at the bottom, or are marked Viacom.

Here is a link to CBS Outdoor, International Following is the text of their UK operations

CBS Outdoor has inventory representing 23% of the U.K.'s outdoor market as well as 95% of the country's bus advertising, 100% of the inventory on the London Underground, the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and several major tram and coach networks. Site types include Supersides, T-Sides and Mega Rears on buses; cross-track posters, tube car panels and station domination packages on the London Underground, DLR and the Newcastle metro, and wrapped trams in four cities. In Northern Ireland we have a 33% share, with buses in Belfast and the provinces, point of sale displays and billboards, as well as the contract for Aircoach, the premium airport coach contractor.
