Various Updates:
From Deadline Hollywood Daily:

CBS picked up Eleventh Hour, Mentalist, and The X List (formerly Mythological X) for the fall and Harper's Island for midseason,

Also picked-up were 1/2 hour comedies Worst Week and Project Gary (with Jay Mohr)

NY-Lon, Exit 19 (with Geena Davis), and Single While Millionaire are dead.

The Tower was not picked-up, but it's not dead yet.

As far as returning shows, chances are looking good for The Unit, but not so much for Moonlight.

CBS has also "shown interest" in Back To You, which Fox just canceled.

OMG I am in SHOCK Holly !! Although several again and again was saying The Unit was going to return I never expected CBS to renew it so I'm not sure how to feel now LOL !!
I'm happy but still hesitent to trust CBS completely since it is either going to get a 13 episodes renewal which sucks by the way or rumor is it is going to be put on Friday Night which is not encouraging either so it is a catch-22 !

So can we be expecting a name change for THE MENTALIST any moment now? I can see the promotional team downing alot of aspirin. Wink

BTW, thanks Holly for posting all these links the last few days.

And to Pam, I never worried about THE UNIT. There were so many different ways they could have used it, I knew they'd find one.

It's not on the fall schedule and CBS is fighting with WB (the producer) about money. WB is trying to get a 13 episode midseason, CBS isn't so keen on the idea. More here

Straight from Mike Birbiglia, while on the Bob & Tom Radio show.

His sitcom project "Secret Public Journal" is still alive, but up in the air right now. CBS is keeping the wraps on it, for now. It could be a mid-season replacement series.

From Deadline Hollywood Daily:

I'm told that "bubble shows" won't be notified until later today or early tomorrow. But in terms of renewals, insiders tell me that the producers of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother were "quietly given reassurance a couple weeks ago that their show would be back".

I think I read elsewhere that Neil Patrick Harris was coming to the upfronts at CBS's request, which would be really weird if they were going to cancel.

That sounds exactly like what CBS is doing with The Tower. I read where it is in contention for a mid-season show but that it might not get the go ahead until weeks after the upfront. Seems like CBS is doing pickups in two cycles.

The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline Hollywood Daily, and Ausiello are all reporting that CBS has officially picked-up Old Christine for 22 episodes, HIMYM, Rules of Engagement, and the Unit.

Shark is officially axed.

No official word on Moonlight.
