Looks like American Gladiators is going to be around for awhile.

I agree TVfan. It will likely crush summer programming and next year would be a great show to use as Sunday night fare once football is over.

It has laready started. The first 2 episodes will have 3 airings within 2 weeks by this weekend (Jan 19-20) as NBC allows the local stations to use it as daytime filler.

If NBC can control themselves with the program, then it does have a chance to be around a while.

American Gladiators is OK, but the Better show, that is similar, is Pros vs Joes.

Its third season premiere is this Thursday, the 24, on Spike TV.

Spike had a Nice Marathon of Pros vs Joes this weekend.

No gain in the demo despite no State of the Union interrupting things. Not a good sign. The nostalgia has worn and it will probably settle into a mediocre hit that would be great midseason filler for football on Sundays.

Looks like the ratings have stabilized for now. But this is surely not the mega hit that NBC was thinking it was.
