Just to make sure I have this right, you get more points for a show improving than for a show just doing as well as it has been, right? Like, if you pick Criminal Minds and it stays at #10, you don't get as many points as you would if you picked Friday Night Smackdown, and it went from #92 to #89.

If a show is pre-empted within the 4-week period, you are out of luck - you are stuck with that show.

Also too, since you picked Survivor, just know that only the Thursday episodes will count. The Sunday finale will NOT count because that is considered a special episode of the series and it won't count in the series' season average.

No - you'd get more points (a lot more) for Criminal Minds. However, since everyone has to pick a CW show, picking Friday Night Smackdown is one of the good shows to choose from. And yes, it will improve your score the higher the show climbs up the rankings.

You'll see how the point system works when the list for this week's shows comes out on Wednesday, December 6.

We can play a different game every week. But here's how it'll work:

This game, which already started taking rosters, will use the ratings of shows airing November 27-December 24.

The next game, which will take rosters starting from this Wednesday until Monday Dec. 4, will use the ratings of shows airing December 4-31.

Each game will last 4 weeks and overlap each other. Yet, you can definitely have a different roster for each game, even though the periods overlap.

After some thinking about how to alter the game a bit for the next game, I thought of adding several options including bonus points, extending the roster to more than 5 shows, variations, etc.

I decided NOT to implement bonus points (for most-watched shows of each night as well as each network) for any future games because players would gravitate to a select few shows, making for similar-looking rosters.

I won't extend the roster to more than 5 shows. I was thinking of going to a 7-show roster, but to keep the game simple, I think it's better to keep it the way it is at 5. Thinking about choosing 5 shows is a lot less time consuming than thinking about choosing 7.

I will include variations as well as a new feature, a wildcard. For variations, a player can have more than one way to choose 5 shows, as you'll see in the next game's instructions. For the wildcard option, it'll allow players to choose shows that are currently not airing but you think and/or know will air in the 4-week game period.
