I think "The Closer" is a show that gets its due and its viewers. Does anyone else here agree with tvfan300 that "The Closer" is underrated?

I think The Closer get plenty of credit for what it does.

Where as NCIS is always dismissed despite getting 13-15 million per week.

For being the CW's highest rated show to air last year on Sunday or Monday at to do it at 7:30 no less against football and against lower HUT levels, I'd say Reba is pretty darn underrated. Much better than any of the Monday comedies.

Both get a lot of press with average ratings. Reba got better numbers despite airing in the death trap of Sunday at 7:30. I'd say it is more deserving of kudos, but I do like OTH too. Guilty pleasure I guess. Wink

Two very well performing, yet underrated series in the finals.

Had to go with BONES though. NCIS is starting to get the recognition it deserves.

I go with NCIS. It's viewership almost doubles that of Bones, and I guarantee you it doesn't get twice the attention.

That's exactly right! NCIS is in its billionth season with humongous ratings - what's it doing in the "underrated" series anyway? Does anyone really think this show deserves MORE than 17 million viewers?

See, this showdown is exactly what I was asking about at the beginning of this thread.

NCIS is a show that "should" get more media attention/buzz based on its huge viewer numbers.
Bones is a show that "should" get more viewers based on the amount of media attention/positive buzz surrounding it.

It all depends on how you define underrated. I'm going with Bones, because I've never even seen NCIS, and I think Bones is good enough that it should get more viewers. But maybe that means I myself am guilty of "underrating" NCIS.
