Oh how I miss my Fashion House... (Desire though left much to be "Desired".) I think I get about every possible channel (even Distant Networks so that i can watch Judge Judy at 6pm & 6:30pm from the San Francisco feed when I get home from "work") with DishNetwork with the exception of the Logo network, which ticks me off now that they have the Democratic Debates coming up on that network.... As much as I like Dish, they don't seem to support GLBT TV like our local cable or DirectTV - but I've digressed now.

Now, I take careful note of all your recommendations, and your tastes are impeccable.

Unfortunately for me, you get more cable stations than I do, so for some of your series picks, I must await DVD releases.

To all PIFC players:

I've now reached a period of time of uncertainty, concerning the amount of ratings data that I can receive.

Recently, my volume of ratings information, especially for cable programs, has dramatically decreased due to internet restrictions, prompting some of my requests on this forum for some assistance in prior weeks.

Of course, the viewer numbers for broadcast network shows will always be used in games but viewer numbers for cable programs, daytime, midday and late night programs are now up in the air, including this current game.

Now, I don't know if I can receive ratings for these specific programs in the near future - perhaps I could. However, I should let you all know that due to this uncertainty, expect to see a lot less entries in the cable and sports categories in future games.

My game has included cable shows that do not get any mentions by TravisYanan's final nationals posts so I'm left in the dark, but I can't fault Travis for not posting numbers on shows like "Sunday Night Baseball" and "Bronx Is Burning" because what he does provide is a big, big plus.

Travis, I know you haven't participated in a PIFC game since Game #23 but indirectly, your final nationals of select cable shows has been a giant help, no doubt. I, and the rest of this forum, appreciate it very much.

Like I've written before, this is what has been holding me up since Game #28, in terms of posting "final" standings. Soon, I may have to make some determination on how to handle the "missing" data for the cable shows. If you have any suggestions, please post.

The PIFC will continue to roll along every week, despite this recent dilemma. I just hope for the best for the PIFC in the near future.

1st, This is not a problem, IMO. We will make due with what ever is available. This is a Great game no matter what we have to select from.

I know a couple of sources I found, and posted just have HH ratings. I think it is totally OK to use the HH raings = X million homes conversion and use that number as the number of viewers.

Are their specific shows/events you need ANY info on? Is the missing info on certain types of shows or isolated Networks? We'll do anything we can to help ya out, Douglas.

Back to Douglas,

Are the shows missing info on active rosters or just needed to set up the final ranking of shows?

If the missing shows are not on rosters, I suggest we just throw them out and not count them

TV-aholic, I appreciate your links to those cable lists. It's among the best data I've received all month, short of the limited Zap 2 it's lists and of course, Travis' nationals posts. Thanks.

Both. I'm still including them in this game because I still think I can get info for most of the shows there but for some of them, it's gonna be "pick-them-at-your-own-risk"

I second that statement.

Douglas, what shows are you missing info for?
Would something like the Top25 cable shows for the week help, like this listing?

How far down this type of list would you have to get before the shows were scoring zero points anyway?

If you have to resort to using limited information that results in some shows being zeroed out, how about setting a deadline? Something like: 'any show without final ratings data inside three weeks scores a zero'.

I think it's just my post in the last game that's missing the signature - I must have deselected the Signature box.
