I think Nashville will get limited promotion from Fox, flop in week one, get a second week to try and improve, do just as bad if not worse than week one, and be cancelled the following Monday.

Oh and a question about this. Will a show be determined cancelled first even if it doesn't debut til mid-October (ala Viva Laughlin or Samantha Who?)?

Nope - all determined on date so as bad as you think Viva or Samantha may be, their October debuts do help each of their causes to NOT be the first to be canceled.
