Well, with a 1.6 rating average over the two hours, we do know that the 2nd hour was higher than the first. We need either a (1.5 & 1.7) or a (1.4 & 1.8) for the two hours.

Not exactly. With Nielsen rounding, the two hours might be: 1.4 and 1.7, but still combines to 1.6 for example.
Obveeus is right, Nielsen rounding can do just as he described. Unfortunately, since my nationals have a 2 hour combined, it may be difficult to find exact finals.

That website that Mr. Jamie Hibberd used to write for (tvweek.com?) publishes a pdf of the half-hourly breakdowns of HUT, share and A18-49, but they tend to report a few weeks after the week has closed. You may have to waitt til then.
