Since when is it illegal to due 'illusion'? For that matter, it isn't illegal to do actual nudity in photoshoots.

In addition, there are child labor laws that wouldn't allow them to do the rigorous schedule that ANTM requires of them.
Now, that is the real reason for the older model. The show has to get made and doing a 24/7 show with children complicates that (Kid Nation show not withstanding).

In cycle 1, Adrienne smoked more than any other model on any cycle. I can remember numerous scenes of her lighting up. If people had complaints, why not address it that cycle.
You just ignored everything I said about cropping and blurring in previous seasons as well as ignoring that it was an issue of controversy last season.

As for the underage drinking, I'm not going to name any models names because I don't want to get them in any trouble.
When you say that, were you expecting to get a laugh or were you attempting to be serious?

But it has been done in almost all cycles. The only one I'm not sure of is cycle 1. Sometimes to excess. Surely if she is promotion healthy bodies, drinking should be banned. After all she did have that safe Spring Break lecture don't drink ever on her own talk show.
I don't watch her talkshow. I do know that most of the cast of every season is over 21. Without you naming names (fear that somehow no one knows they drank unless you expose it...too funny), there isn't any basis for your claim. Meanwhile, the show has addressed drinking (when overseas), at least in so much as it can lead to doing other stupid things if done to excess.
Is it just me, or does it look like Miz Tyra's getting ready to throw off the best looking and most popular candidate AGAIN?
Heather keeps winning Poll after Poll of these "Cover Girl" of the week, but it looks like Miz Tyra's setting up to throw Heather off before the finals, leaving another sub-par winner like Jaslese, Naima, and Carrie Dee. Someone needs to give her a cluestick.

Heather takes the best phgotos, but she is showing herself to be completely useless in the 'spokesmodel' category. Not to say that means she deserves to get eliminated since ANTM alllowed Danielle and Jaslene to win the whole thing even though they could barely get through a spoken line of anything.
As for the 'popularity polls', they do not reflect anything to do with which model is taking the best photos or performing the best in commercial/runway/acting situations. The popularity polls are a reflection of sympathy voting for the 'underdog'. Heather leads those polls based upon her 'illness', not her modeling ability.

I forgot about Danielle too. I think after her cycle, they had Queen Latifah take her spots on the next year.
I'm just saying that we seem to keep seeing this over and over again, and I wonder if the Producers know it. Wouldn't it get more publicity (and ratings) if they really came out with a better 'Top Model'?
Or if they REALLY wanted to stir things up, have Miz Tyra replay some of the footage from the House and say that Be-yot-ches don't make good spokesmodels; pack your bags.

Keep in mind that this show really isn't about finding a 'top model'. If it was, they wouldn't cast a bunch of short/old women. If they were trying to create someone that could really develop into a 'top model', They would have a cast with no one under 5-9, no one over 18 years old, and they wouldn't waste time casting a bunch of minorities.
Instead, this show is trying to teach the viewer (aiming at young women) about the modeling industry while at the same time trying to teach those same viewers about 'self esteem' issues. The show is about how tough it is to be a model (BTW, Yahoo had a list of the 10 worst jobs and model was on it) and about knowing/learning what you can or cannot change about how you look/act/present yourself.
It makes sense that the 'underdog' will perform well on the show. Tyra wants the viewer (the ultimate underdog) to feel like they have a chance. It makes sense that there are so many minorities on the show because that is the audience that Tyra is trying to reach out to. And, since this is reality TV, it makes sense that 'troublemakers' hang around longer than they should to keep the drama level high (same thing goes on with The Apprentice, Project Runway, etc.. type shows where the producers control the 'elimination').

Well, that's what I'll be hoping for. Maybe someone has mentioned to the producers and Miz Tyra that Heather winning would allow for at least a half-dozen episodes of her on Tyra's talk show about Heather dealing with her Ausberger's Syndrome while working as a model.
Or put it this way: If Bianca wins, how long before we heard the word "Beyotch" come from Tyra's Studio Audience?

Bianca is this season's 'drama queen'. She is just there to increase ratings for the demo that wants to see drama. Consider The Apprentice 'All-Stars' casting Omarosa - same deal.
The funny thing is, Tyra isn't above all that childish drama herself. Just look at how the show's intro pictures all the former winners except for one.
It's too bad ANTM has (so far) been the only Model competition show that's succeeded. Although, I wonder if it would still be on a major network even with the demo numbers.

If ANTM was on FOX or ABC it would be pulling over 10 million viewers each week. It is a testament to the fact that, these days, most people simply won't tune in to 'the little networks' no matter what they air.
Put American Idol on CW tomorrow and maybe people's attitude about the network would change...or maybe American Idol would drop to 10 million viewers. At best, it is a toss up.
