Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, ect) about 4.5% and Pacific Islanders (Filipinos, Native Hawaiians, and other Polynesians) are 0.2% and you can only add maybe 0.5% for mixed ethnicity. So since there are 26 contestants a year (13 each cycle) then, there should be only 1 Asian/Pacific Islander contestant per year.

If the show is trying to match the US population, they usually have too many African Americans. If the show is trying to realistically match the US population of working models, then they have WAY too many African Americans. Call it the Tyra affect.
You're right. Going by percentage of the population, Black or African American is 12% of the US population, so there should be 3 Black or African American girls per year. Being the host/judge/executive producer Tyra likely uses it to her advantage.
Hispanic or Latina girls have also been short changed since the census says they make up 14.5% of the population, so there should be 4 of them each year.

ANTM should take a cue from 'The Biggest Loser' and have each model step on a weight scale and be measured for height onscreen and in front of the rest of the contestants at the start of each season. It would provide far more drama than seeing them fight over who gets which room in the house.
Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel has contestants do that too and get measured. Jaslene, their cycle 9 winner, was listed as 5'7'' and I'm pretty sure 2 inches of that was hair.
