LIPSTICK JUNGLE IS NOT CANCELLED!!
LJ Fanatics, I wanted to e-mail you asap to let you know that while My Own Worst Enemy has in fact been cancelled, Lipstick Jungle, the show that I work on, has NOT been cancelled!! We just got word today from the network that they haven't made a decision regarding us yet, and they are waiting for a couple more weeks of ratings before deciding what to do with us. We just got lumped in with MOWE as another show that got cancelled, but it just isn't the case. If you could PLEASE PLEASE print a story telling your readers that we in fact are still around, and will be for the forseeable future it will really help! Also, telling them to post comments about how much they love the show could really help show the network that our fans want to support the show and will stick around!!
Thanks so much Fanatics!
I don't think that I can give you my name, but I can tell you that I work on the show and that this info is coming from the TOP TOP of NBC!!!

I'd say it's a safe bet that "Jungle" is officially cancelled, even if they haven't told the people who work on the show yet. They're probably going to burn off the eps that they have left, and let it fade away. Those people need to wake up and smell the coffee. And then start looking for a new job.
I wish I could say I was sad to see "Enemy" go, but frankly I've been waiting for it to fail so NBC could bring "Medium" back to that time slot. It's about time that NBC figured out a few things.
1) Nothing has fared as well in the Monday at 10 slot as "Medium" since they moved "L&O" out of the spot.
2) "Heroes" is NOT going to be the saviour of the network as they have been hoping since its first season. It has continued to decline, both creatively and in the ratings. While it may have been a hit initially, it has very rapidly run out of steam and is floundering. NBC needs to stop trying to use it to launch their "next big thing" because it just doesn't have the juice to build up another new show anymore.
3) If NBC finally got a clue and scheduled "Medium" after "Heroes" (as people have been suggesting for years), they might learn that it might actually boost ratings for BOTH shows. Not that "Medium"s ratings were all that bad last year, but let's be honest, a big part of the reason that it did so well last year (scoring its best ratings since season 2) was because of the strike, but also because it works very well in the Monday at 10 slot. So NBC just needs to put it there and leave it, and accept that that slot is the death zone for new shows.

"They're not breaking down the sets," she added. "We’re still working. We still have more to do, so it's erroneously presented that we’ve been canceled, thank God.
"Our bosses are saying, 'You’re not canceled, don’t worry. We’re just trying to figure out how to make this make sense.'"
Shields said fans have already sent in tubes of lipstick to Jeff Zucker, president & CEO of NBC Universal, to show their support.
"It's been insane," she went on. "I think that the public outcry has been crazy, and it's kind of wonderful."
Is she optimistic for the show?
"I actually am," Shields said. "I mean, we're basically No. 1 if you look at DVR
Lipstick Jungle Lives By BILL CARTER; Compiled by DAVE ITZKOFF Published: November 17, 2008
Reports of the demise of “Lipstick Jungle” may have been premature. The NBC drama about well-heeled women in New York, starring Brooke Shields, was shuffled off to Friday nights two weeks ago amid reports that the show was canceled and that the remaining episodes would not be shown. But as of this week “Lipstick Jungle” is breathing again. The reason: It showed signs of life on Friday and picked up 50 percent more viewers when delayed viewing (from DVRs and other devices) was included in the ratings for the episode broadcast a week earlier. Ben Silverman, the co-chairman of NBC Entertainment, said the network will definitely finish the 13 episodes that it originally ordered — it has four more episodes to go — and may order more if the show “grows more.”
