I just read that Mr. Norman Lear has signed on for a Reveille drama production that focuses on distaffers on Wall Street, and that NBC has picked this up to series without a pilot.
I know that there is some sort of complicated blind trust arrangement where Mr. Silverman does not make direct pick-up, cancel or renewal decisions on series produced by Reveille, and Mr. Lear's track record surely merits a Sorkinesque blank cheque series deal, but it does seem fortuitous that the first "blind" series commitment of the Mr. Silverman era is a Reveille-branded product.
