What should NBC do for next season?

Here's my suggested schedule:

Monday
8:00- "ROBINSON CRUSOE"
9:00- Heroes
10:00- Medium

Tuesday
8:00- "KATH & KIM" (New Series)
8:30- 30 Rock (New Timeslot)
9:00- Chuck (New Timeslot)
10:00- Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

Wednesday
8:00- Deal Or No Deal
9:00- "ALL RISE" (New Series; Formerly titled Play or Be Played)
10:00- Law & Order

Thursday
8:00- The Office (New Timeslot)
8:30- My Name Is Earl (New Timeslot)
9:00- "KINGS"
10:00- E.R.

Friday
8:00- Deal Or No Deal
9:00- "BLUE BLOOD"
10:00- Life (New Timeslot)

Saturday
8:00-11:00- Various Programming

Sunday
7:00- Football Night In America
8:15- Sunday Night Football

Other Midseason Shows: The Biggest Loser, The Celebrity Apprentice, American Gladiators, Clash of the Choirs, The Philanthropist (New Series), Man Of Your Dreams (New Series), Zip (New Series), The Interrogator (New Series)

If NBC is smart, they will begin their season about a month early and begin airing new episodes of shows directly after the Olympics. They have already stated that some shows will start filming now and will have extra episodes for next season. Then reality like The Biggest Loser and Celebrity Apprentice can take the places of certain shows when they go on breaks. NBC should also air Heroes after the superbowl, unless they feel a new drama series has more potential.

ER is basically for sure gone next season, and I recall 30 Rock airing on Tuesday before, and it did horrible.

The only things that worked on Tuesday was Frasier.

Why does everyone always want to move Medium from Mondays? Or worse, hold it until mid-season? Just so we can get more crap like 1 v.100 or Deal or No Deal. It's doing great on Mondays, so why not just leave it alone?

Better yet, why not pair it with something like Heroes and see just how good it can do? I'd bet that Medium and Heroes could really benefit each other if they were paired together.

That said, I like mushu's list. I'd stick with that if I were NBC.

Unfortunately for you, Medium does much worse than DOND so its not out of line for NBC to pull Medium for sweeps and then return it later on. That said, glad you liked the lineup. I just don't think anything else will do well after Heroes.

ER will get some kind of wrap but I see little if any committment next year.

NBC can have very little confidence in new drama development right now and best I see them cherrypicking a few but leaving behind anything they have any real doubts about.

MEDIUM probably remains a swing show, could possibly get 10pm Monday but at the same time don't think it should be wasted on friday with a 3.3 in demo after hiatus and against MIAMI.

NBC has to wrap of ER; its ratings may be low now, but that is a signature series for the network and it would have likely ended this season but now it likely wont due to the strike.

They could decide to make more episodes this season (the last nine that were left) and have the series go into summer where it would have its series finale. But I think if it does come back next year, it would be for a shortened time period.

And someone mentioned 30 Rock being on Tuesdays... it never was, it was on Wednesday. Not only that, Tuesdays at 8pm should have relatively low competition if its stays the same as it was this season. And 30 Rock may do better on a different night.

NBC should also leave Law & Order and Medium in their timeslots; Medium should do just as well or better with Heroes as a lead-in while Law & Order seems to be resurging.

Also, the drama project Backyard and Bullets has been cancelled and American Gladiators would be perfect at the Monday at 8pm timeslot, but since its returning in the summer, I'm not sure if it would return immediately in the fall. NBC could save if for midseason, just to plug up holes in their schedule.

Chuck may skew young, but against the demo powerhouse Grey's anatomy and still-a-hit show CSI: it will die. And the show has a good premise, so I want it to succeed. And Thursday @ 9PM is not the right timeslot. Just leave it @ Monday 8PM.

Backyards and Bullets are still on the pilot chart at futon critic. Looks like they need to do some updating. I'll have to come up with something else to fill that spot.

I think a better suggestion would be:

Fall / Winter / Spring

Monday
8:00- Chuck / American Gladiators / Chuck
9:00- Heroes / Heroes: Origins / Heroes
10:00- Medium

Chuck was doing comparatively well in the time period. Give it another chance.

Sunday AFTER FOOTBALL
7:00- Dateline
8:00- "ROBINSON CRUSOE"
9:00- "KNIGHT RIDER"
10:00- "FEAR ITSELF"

A 3rd season for Friday Night Lights on NBC is really a pipe dream. Assuming the Knight Rider movie is a hit, then let them return on Sundays or in the spring to replace Chuck on Mondays when American Gladiators finishes up. Then, sandwich it around with your limited run series.

Sunday ALTERNATE AFTER FOOTBALL
7:00- Dateline
8:00- Chuck
9:00- Monk or Psych (USA Network ENCORE)
10:00- L&O: CI (USA Network ENCORE)
