The voice of reason... well said. I had stopped watching by then.

The show found a better balance and voice later on IMO, but it was already too late by then.

I think they did a good job with the religion issue. Politics was covered in an 'ok' manner. The best coverage of politics was in how it overlapped with the network politics, the worst aspect was in how the show dealt with characters being drug into political/charitable causes. The issue of the Iraq/Afganistan wars shouldn't have been covered at all if they were going to stretch all credibility by having a main character's brother taken hostage. That storyline was so contrived that it reminded me of ER's helicopter crashing onto the one armed doctor episode.

30 Rock bleeds what few viewers NBC gets on Thursday Nights.

Well... well... tonight the last episode of "Studio Sixty..." airs.
Dispite some of the opinions visited on this site... I still enjoyed the program, along with millions of other people.
The so called "burn off" episodes have been terrific.
Now we can watch bingo, or dancing, or a lot of other crap that's smothering TV and dumbing down the audience in this country.

Making sure that a full season run was written into the network contract was a good idea, though. Now, there are enough episodes to push out a DVD.

I wonder how many thousands of 'collectors' buy one or more copies of every single TV series that comes out on DVD? You know there are people doing it, either because they are deluded with E-bay dollar signs down the line or simply because they are TV fanatics.

I look forward to the Aaron Sorkin Follies, featuring the Cast of Studio 60 doing a musical exchange singing the praises of Aaron Sorkin in a sophisticated, yet sometimes slapstick fashion.

This was probably the best episode since the pilot. It made me actually miss the show and look forward to its (hypothetical) return.

You'll never hear that from me. I'm saddened by it's departure. You gotta admit... so far there's six pages of comments.... not all negative. I hope the series returns in the fall!!!
