I don't know if anyone has already suggested this or if NBC has already tried it, but I was thinking, why don't they move Saturday Night Live to the 8/7c instead of showing repeats of the other shows. Just a thought.

NBC is showing a rerun of SNL next Saturday at 9:30pm after Chuck at 8, and 30 Rock at 9.

Are you saying reruns of SNL on Saturdays or new episodes of SNL on Saturday, primetime?

I like to see the demographics of who watches SNL. Is it mainly younger viewers or is it a mixture of ages?

I think most of the SNL episodes do get better ratings at 11:30pm than those currently trying Saturdays at 8, 9 & 10pm

Due to the writers strike, there are no new episodes of SNL to broadcast - in late night or primetime.

The addition of SNL to NBC's Saturday line-up appear to be "Best of..." installments that have aired over the past several seasons.

The best of Will Farrell will air Dec. 8 with the best of Chris Farley slated to air Dec. 15.

I'm saying New. And I would also like to see the Demographics and Viewership of SNL.

The night Peyton Manning hosted (03/24/07), gave SNL its highest rating since 10 months before. It received a 5.9 HH Rating and a 15 share

Well, they usually run their final dress rehearsal before the live showing of SNL from 7-930pm (depending on what skits they decide to try out or not). I guess they air SNL late because they want to give the cast a bit of a rest in between..?

Creatively, you can't run "SNL" live in prime time because the censors are going to be mmuch tougher, especially running before 10 p.m. safe harbor time. Michaels may not mind running best of packages in prime time, but not the actual live show.
