Fox and NBC are both airing shows, that are pretty much the same. The Singing Bee from NBC and Don't Forget the Lyrics from Fox... pretty much the same thing right?

How are these shows different?
Who got the idea for the show first?
Which will do better?
"Singing Bee" will have a group of contestants eliminated as they blow lyrics. "Forget" is one player against the house, as on "Deal," "...5th Grader?", etc.
Seems like NBC announced "Singing Bee" first in development from Phil Gurin. The British company RDF submitted "Lyrics" to Darnell and after the fall schedule was announced with "Singing Bee" spelling "1 vs. 100" on Friday nights in November, obviously Darnell and RDF went into stealth mode to get the show on before NBC knew what hit them. While CBS decided to wait and see with their kids game show when Darnell hit them with "...5th Grader?" (and then decided not to go ahead with it when "...5th Grader?" took off), the new Ben Silverman regime decided not to let Darnell bully them around and move up "Singing Bee" to the night before "Don't Forget."
