Shhhh! You don't want it to get out that the NBC scheduling technique is throwing darts on a board.
Medium skews older while Heroes and Chuck both skew younger I doubt NBC would put Medium that targets adults on a night with younger skewing shows. If Medium was like Ghost Whisperer then it airing after Heroes would be perfect but since it's not and it being more a Legal Crime show I'd do better before or after a L&O series or even bumped to USA as they did with one of the L&O series.

They can't just bump it to USA. Medium isn't produced by NBC. It's produced by CBS, a network it may end up on if NBC continues to fool around.

I'd love to see NBC give Medium the Thursday 10pm slot. I think it could hold its own against Without A Trace and whatever ABC throws into that slot.

In addition to that, the info on how MEDIUM skews is not correct.
With 2 weeks left in the season last year, it was doing 8mm and a 3.0. That makes it only slightly older skewing than CHUCK.
It skews younger than GHOST WHISPERER. GW is presently doing over 9mm viewers and still less than 3.0
In its 2nd season, MEDIUM averaged 11mm viewers and did a 4.0 18-49.
It has been syndicated on Lifetime for close to two years now.
One thing is right. It does skew older than HEROES.

You have to remember that Ghost Whisperer airs on Fridays so of course it's 18-49 Demo is low. I'm sure if GW was moved to a more active night with a good lead in and out it'd do the same or even better.

But it doesn't fit the lead ins at all. If NBC's plan for Thursday is continued mediocre comedies that skew younger and male, then they need a drama to complement. I think its too late for Chuck or Heroes, but if Heroes continues to be a wasted lead in, then that's certainly an option.

Chuck/Medium/Journeyman wouldn't be a bad Friday night lineup...
Chuck isn't even Sci-Fi, it's a Spy Dramedy. If anything they should move Journeyman to an 8pm slot where people can actually be able to catch it. IMO it's more of a Demo grabber if only it was earlier. Chuck on the other hand should be moved to a 9pm slot, it's just not a good anchor but it's a great show nevertheless. Maybe if anything NBC should change it's Mondays schedule to:
8pm Journeyman 9pm Chuck 10pm Heroes
For Medium, it should be back on Wednesdays at 8pm before Bionic Women:
8pm Medium 9pm Bionic Women 10pm Life
This would probably benefit across the board and Phenomenon could easily be moved to Fridays after DOND or to Sundays at 8pm to possible give some competition for Extreme Makeover.

But that's just the thing. GW does just so happen to air on fridays, doesn't it?
It has not been moved to a more active nite.
The tendency is to think a show can be moved off of friday and it will automatically do better. Not necessarily so, at all.
And GW, a good self starter for sure, has enjoyed relatively light competition.

While I agree with your depiction of CHUCK, I really can't see anything close to this sked coming to fruition.
JOURNEYMAN will likely be out of the picture soon.

Agree, mushu_jj. No fit for MEDIUM on thurs. The plan was to pair it with LIPSTICK JUNGLE, and assuming that has produced enough eps, I think that pairing will hold.
Throw in a game show and you have a strike night.

I have always like idea of Medium back on Mondays at 10, especially after Heroes. I've heard that NBC is scheduling one hour of reality/unscripted programming per night, backed by new scripted shows. And now that they've moved Lipstick Jungle to Thursdays at 10, and L&O and L&O:CI to Wednesdays, it makes perfect sense to move Medium back to Mondays, if they can find the right lead-in for it. I guess Heroes is almost out of new eps, as are Chuck, Life, and Bionic Woman. The only one of their fall shows that hasn't run out of eps yet is Friday Night Lights, so why not a Monday night matchup of Lights and Medium? They both have the same demo so it would seem to be a perfect match. I really don't think NBC has anything that's going to stand up to Desperate Housewives, so why sacrifice a great show like Medium against that? I really hope that NBC gets their head out of their butt soon and puts Medium where it belongs (Mondays at 10) and treats it with some respect (meaning giving it the proper promotional support). Apparently NBC is a one ring circus and they don't know how to keep all their balls in the air at once. They need to do a better job of promoting all of their shows, not just the ones that do well in the demos. Those are the ones that need the least promotion. But what do I know? I'm just a tv viewer, not a network exec.
Oh, wait, does that make me smarter or dumber than them?

My vote is for smarter!
I think NBC is planning to have American Gladiators in place of Chuck, so if the writers strike doesn't end in time for new Heroes episodes why not:
Monday 8 American Gladiators 9 Friday Night Lights 10 Medium
It'd be stupid to waste Friday Night Lights on Friday nights when Women's Murder Club and Moonlight are kicking it's proverbial butt. Let Friday Nights be repeat night for Chuck until new episodes can be made and let people salivate over Heroes.
CBS is airing shows from it's cable network Showtime, so NBC owns Bravo why air Project: Runway?
