NBC is really working hard to kill Chuck's Monday, 8pm Timeslot. Even if 'The Baby Borrowers' and 'My Dad is Better Thean Your Dad' are not total disasters, they will certainly not get the kind of audience that Chuck would nornally attract used to that timeslot. Chuck will have an uphill battle to rebuild that timeslot if that is where it returns in the fall.
I would put American Gladiators there. It's been outperforming it and should give Heroes a better lead-in, which may help it pick up a little bit. I would put Chuck Wednesdays at 8 leading into DOND. I'd also have Law and Order on that night.

I never saw CHUCK back there next year anyway. It made more sense to counter-program the hour with either DOND or as mentioned AG.
The Wed 8pm makes sense because it has already proven it can function in the 8 hr, and will probably end up facing some combination of new, different slanting, or worse shows.

NBC will have non-scripted programming in the first slot everyday of the week next year. Then will come scripted fare beginning at 9/8c.
But for what its worth I do think Chuck will return. And the try out on Thursday was in hopes of maybe trying it on that day next year. That didn't work. And I don't think they are trying to kill the Monday timeslot either. They are just trying things out now that they have no scripted material left to air.

Chuck did okay on Thrusday. Chuck didn't win the numbers game, but it won the demographic over Without a Trace.
I think that if it aired on Thursdays up against Smallville, it could further cripple the CW.
Thursdays 8pm Chuck 9pm My Name is Earl 9:30pm The Office: Spin-off (get Earl & The Office back together--sorta) 10pm The Office 10:30pm 30 Rock
Life, I think would do well at 9pm leading into Law & Order either the original or SVU. Just have a strong reality show like Biggest Loser or Deal or No Deal be the lead in.
Tuesday / Wendesday 8pm Biggest Loser / Deal or No Deal 9pm Life 10pm Law & Order: SVU / Law & Order: the Original Series
As for Monday, I think the best thing to do would be to play to their strengths:
Monday 8pm American Gladiators 9pm Heroes 10pm Medium [Yeah, this show gets treated like crap, by NBC, but I can dream, can't I?]

The comedies have performed miserably in the 10pm hour. A move like this would all but kill The Office. Chuck at 8pm Thursday is an idea, though it certainly didn't look like a good one this past Thursday. It would need a lot of promotion and some time...and it still might not work with Survivor there. Keeping 30 Rock at all is a bad idea. Comedy offering in the 10pm hour is a bad idea.
Either go with: 8pm Chuck 9pm Earl/Office 10pm drama or 8pm Earl/New comedy 9pm Office/ New Comedy 10pm drama
My schedule for next year: Monday 8:00 American Gladiators 9:00 Heroes 10:00 new drama I know people want Medium here, but it's not holding DOND's lead in and NBC would be better off trying to help a first year show rather than a fourth year show.
Wednesday 8:00 Chuck 9:00 DOND 10:00 Law and Order
Thursday 8:00 MNIE 8:30 Office spinoff 9:00 Office 9:30 30 Rock 10:00 new drama/Lipstick Jungle I don't think back to back Office's is a good idea, but there's no where else for comedy. It's time to retire ER. If Lipstick Jungle does well there keepit there; if not put a new drama there.
Friday 8:00 DOND/1 vs. 100(midseason) 9:00 1 vs. 100/Criminal Intent(midseason) 10:00 Life
Sunday(midseason) 7:00 Dateline 8:00 DOND 9:00 Medium 10:00 ER(final season)

Going back to the original topic: after all the off-season rumblings that the execs were telling their shows to be more episodic (and thus repeatable), it does seem odd to me that shows like Chuck, Life, and even Pushing Daisies aren't showing up at all in repeats. We may see them in the summer, but it seems unwise to have these shows vanish for months and months on end. They'll return to the air in early summer to no fanfare due to their long hiatuses, the repeat ratings will be awful, and the repeats will be pulled, leading to diminished original numbers in the fall.
I have liked himym's Chuck/Deal/L&O Wednesday since before this season began. I think Wednesday is the day for it, rather than throwing it into the Thursday fray.
Though Life is my favorite new hourlong of the season, I think the best spot for it is midseason Sunday nights. A Friday spot would probably run into audience crossover with the USA detective shows when they launch originals in January. It could join CI repurposings and something else on Sundays.
Depending on how well the repurposing of Monk and Psych go, you might be able to work them in. I wouldn't mind a repurposed Saturday but they might actually work well on Wednesday.
8 Chuck 9 Psych 10 Monk
I just realized how much of a USA Network type show Chuck is with its snark and quirk. It fits well with those two. But then again, would you really want to put it with those two on a main network since you will want your other stuff there that you developed.
At least it would save them from overusing Deal or No Deal. But then where do you put DoND? Tuesdays I suppose since you would have football Sunday, Gladiators Monday, Chuck Wednesday, Comedies Thursday, 1 v 100 Friday..

Im very surprised NBC is not showing chuck repeats.
They repeated almost every episode going into the winter break on Saturdays. Sadly they did not hold up all the well, not bottom of the barrel ratings, but nothing to toot a horn about.
