Almost no doubt this is coming back. Its 3.3 against the last original Miami is a solid number, though it would help if it could creep into the upper half of the 3's, especially with the extremely strong Deal as a lead-in.

It was interesting to see how underpromoted this was relative to Law & Order's return throughout December. No doubt the studio ownership plays heavily into that.

And don't be a stranger, Bruce!

I won't, but thanks.

MEDIUM is slanting a bit older this year, just about the .3 or .4 you imply.

Similar TA's from early last season and late season 2 would have carried your #.

A very unusual series in a very unusual situation.

NBC should renew Medium and stick it in the post-Heroes slot that has long since been bantered about. This latest move is interesting because you don't see too many gameshows in the 10 pm hour.

And welcome back Bruce!

Why it it NBC and Jeff Zucker who I think puts the schedule together treats this show like a redheaded stepchild? Honestly, if they put this show on after Heroes (LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE TO BEGIN WITH) it could easily improve. With all the time slot changes and being held off until mid-season, being put on hiatus to expand Gladiators and Deal or No Deal, and it can still pull these kinds of numbers, one can only imagine what would happen with a more compatible lead-in, scheduling stability, and some freaking promotion!

Welcome to my world, Ginger. NBC did the same thing with LV.

I don't get their Friday Night Lights logic. To me, a teen show about football, shouldn't go on Friday nights when their target audience would likely be going to acuatual high school football games. Sundays after football season season would have made more sense. Plus, it drug down the NBC Friday night and while it can't be totally blamed, it causes Las Vegas which was once doing well on Fridays to bleed viewers.

You have just proven that you're more qualified to run NBC than Silvermann. Congratulations and welcome to the growing club.

While I believe that Sunday nights after football is the best timeslot for Friday Night Lights, I dont really agree with that assessment.

Friday Night Lights target audience is not teenagers. According to MediaLifeMagazine, the average viewer of Friday Night Lights makes $65,000 a year (http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman/publish/article_10573.asp . I dont know about you, but I dont know many teenagers that make that much money...

But I do agree that it did drag down Las Vegas; but unlike "Vegas," FNL is extremely cheap, especially with a lot of product placement, a mostly unknown cast (with the exception of Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton) and its also filmed in Texas.
