NBC: Quite simply, NBC's schedule is a mess and their pilots apart from a few look uninspired and nowhere near the level of ABC or CBS. That being said, look for another lacklustre year. NBC need a lot of revamping but they have a very ordinary field of selections for their schedule.
SUNDAYS: "Sunday Night Football"
Midyear: 8:00-"Deal or No Deal" (second night) 9:00- "Friday Night Lights" 10:00- "The Bionic Woman" (NEW)
MONDAYS: 8:00-"Deal or No Deal" 9:00-"Heroes" 10:00-"Winters" starring Famke Janssen (NEW)
TUESDAYS: 8:00-It's time to break up "Earl" and "The Office" and give NBC a hope for another night of sitcoms. "The Office" is on a high so move it to an anchor slot. 8:30- "The I.T Crowd" (NEW) 9:00-"Thank God Your Here" - (new slot, 13 episodes), followed at midseason by "Chuck", a new drama series (9 episodes). 10:00-"Law and Order: SVU"
WEDNESDAYS: 8:00- "Las Vegas" with Tom Selleck onboard, the series could do with some new life. 9:00- "Medium" (new slot, a tough one but durable) 10:00- "Law and Order: Criminal Intent" - the night of veteran dramas, can't do too bad although midseason, I would bench one of them for a new series (MONY).
THURSDAYS: 8:00-"My Name is Earl" 8:30-"Masters of Manhattan" (NEW) 9:00-"Scrubs" 9:30-"30 Rock" 10:00-"ER" until November. "Lipstick Jungle" (NEW)until February.
"ER" is declining and NBC's hottest pilot looks to be "Lipstick Jungle", which could inherit the slot while "ER" takes a much needed breather.
FRIDAYS: 8:00-"1 vs. 100" 9:00-"Fort Pit" (NEW) 10:00-"Law and Order"
If CBS axes "How I Met Your Mother" or/and "Christine", I would definitely pick them up for their line up and place them on Thursdays.
MIDSEASON: "Friday Night Lights" (13 episodes) on Sundays "Chuck" - (8 episodes) on Tuesdays at 9:00 "The Bionic Woman" (13 episodes) @ Sundays 10:00 "M.O.N.Y" (7 episodes) on Wednesdays
CANCELLED: • CROSSING JORDAN • THE APPRENTICE • THE BLACK DONNELLYS • ANDY BARKER P.I • THE SINGLES TABLE • GREASE: YOU’RE THE ONE I WANT • KIDNAPPED • RAINES • IDENTITY
There's been a lot of talk about NBC's ratings dilemma and what they'll do next season to try to fix the problem. Here's an interesting article from "Variety" on said topic:
MONDAY: 8PM: Deal or No Deal 9PM: Heroes 10PM: BIONIC WOMAN
TUESDAY: 8PM: The Biggest Loser (I think they already renewed this) 9PM: Medium 10PM: Law and Order SVU
WEDNESDAY: 8PM: NEW DRAMA (maybe Journeyman) 9PM: NEW COMEDY (maybe Mastersons of Manhattan) 9:30: NEW COMEDY 10PM: Law and Order / Law and Order Criminal Intent (maybe 13 episode orders each and share the timeslot; make this the final season for Law and Order and give it a chance out of the Friday timeslot).
THURSDAY: 8PM: My Name is Earl 8:30: 30 Rock 9PM: The Office (for NBC to have any chance in the 9PM hour against CSI and Grey's they need to move a stronger show there) 9:30: NEW COMEDY 10PM: LIPSTICK JUNGLE
FRIDAY (fall): 8PM: Deal or No Deal 9PM: 1 vs 100 10PM: The Apprentice (since it has already been renewed)
FRIDAY (January): 8PM: 1 vs 100 9PM: Friday Night Lights (repeat free) 10PM: Real Wedding Crashers (depending on how this does in the spring)
SATURDAY:
SUNDAY (fall): Football
SUNDAY (January): 7PM: Dateline 8PM: Deal or No Deal 9PM: Las Vegas (does not repeat well; move to Sunday nights in January and run repeat free) 10PM: ER (move the final season to Sunday Nights in January and run them repeat free for the rest of the season)
This schedule would contain 3 new drams and 3 new comedies.
This gives Heroes a chance to run consecutively, which NBC has mentioned they may consider. Plus, they can promote it during football all year - and it gives them a nice platform for January. FNL, while some want in a later time slot, could benefit as well with a higher viewing night.
MONDAY ------ 8:00 Deal Or No Deal 9:00 The Bionic Woman 10:00 Medium
This would be a good female counterprogramming move to ESPN's football in the fall and Fox's male skewing lineup.
TUESDAY ------- 8:00 Dateline NBC 9:00 Life 10:00 Law & Order: SVU
WEDNESDAY --------- 8:00 Deal Or No Deal 9:00 Chuck 10:00 Law & Order
NBC may have a shot in this slot if they skew older. They should at least get a 3.0 18-49 with the mothership. Still think this one is worth it for another year.
THURSDAY -------- 8:00 My Name Is Earl 8:30 Lipshitz Saves The World 9:00 The Office 9:30 The I.T. Crowd 10:00 ER
FRIDAY ------ 8:00 Dateline NBC 9:00 1 vs. 100 10:00 The Apprentice
Would go on the cheap here and hope for the best.

Does anyone here besides Medium, Heroes, and 30 Rock fans care what NBC does? Its not like they're going to resurface with these new "hits". I'd be surprised if one of these makes the full season. They better have Law and Order:CI and the Mothership around for backup along with the Donald and maybe even Crossing Jordan for a Friday pairing with Vegas and Medium.
Now with NBC's list of shows set, here is my FINAL lineup that I would put together...
NBC
SUNDAY (FALL) 7:00 Football Pre-Game 8:00 NFL Football
SUNDAY (JANUARY) 7:00 Dateline NBC 8:00 Deal Or No Deal 9:00 Friday Night Lights 10:00 Chuck
NBC gets a later slot for FNL – and a good lead-in with DOND.
MONDAY 8:00 Deal Or No Deal 9:00 Heroes 10:00 Journeyman
“Journeyman” appears to be NBC’s best pilot. Why not use “Heroes” to launch it
TUESDAY 8:00 Deal Or No Deal/Dateline NBC (January) 9:00 Life 10:00 Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
DOND would run through the end of the fall – using it to help launch “Life.” Once “Idol” comes on and football ends, DOND moves to Sunday.
WEDNESDAY 8:00 The Bionic Woman 9:00 Lipstick Jungle 10:00 Medium
A night of female programming is the idea here. 8:00 Wednesday is a VERY weak time slot and it’s up for grabs. With “Lost” not coming back until January, NBC could use the “Bionic Woman” brand to start the evening and finish with “Medium.” Then putting “Lipstick” in the middle protects it. While I’d rather see “Medium” on another night, at least it won’t have “Lost” to compete with.
THURSDAY 8:00 My Name Is Earl 8:30 The IT Group 9:00 The Office 9:30 30 Rock 10:00 ER
Just minor changes here. This should be the last season of “ER” Scrubs comes back at some point.
FRIDAY 8:00 1 vs. 100 9:00 Las Vegas 10:00 Law & Order

Well, by midseason, I think that NBC should have this schedule:
Sunday 7:00- Dateline NBC 8:00- America's Got Talent/Deal Or No Deal 9:00- America's Got Talent 10:00- Lipstick Jungle (New Series) Note: DOND should replace the 8pm hour of AGT when/if the show stops being two hours
Monday 8:00- Deal Or No Deal/America's Got Talent Results 9:00- Heroes 10:00- NEW DRAMA/Journeyman Note: DOND will be replaced by AGT Results Show and then DOND can replace it when AGT ends. I also think that a new drama series should premiere after Heroes, putting Journeyman on temporary hiatus, unless J-Man does really well in the timeslot)
Tuesday 8:00- Chuck (New Timeslot) 9:00- NEW DRAMA (possibly Winters) 10:00- Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Wednesday 8:00- Deal Or No Deal 9:00- Bionic Woman 10:00- Medium
Thursday 8:00- My Name Is Earl 8:30- The IT Crowd (New Series)/ 30 Rock (Returns in Feb/March) 9:00- The Office 9:30- Scrubs (Final Season) 10:00- ER (Final Season) Note: NBC should heavily advertise the final seasons of ER and Scrubs; ER will even reach 300 episodes by November next season
Friday 8:00- 1 vs. 100 9:00- Las Vegas 10:00- Law & Order
Saturday 8:00- Dateline NBC 9:00- Law & Order: Criminal Intent [Second Run] 10:00- Law & Order: Special Victims Unit [Encores]
Other notes: -Friday Night Lights would be on hiatus until the spring -I hope that Winters can still return to NBC (exec producer stated the series was still alive)
SUNDAY (FALL) 7:00 Football Pre-Game 8:00 NFL Football
SUNDAY (JANUARY) 7:00 Dateline NBC 8:00 Friday Night Lights 9:00 Law & Order 10:00 Journey Man
We've got a football show that might keep the football fans' eyes on NBC, Law & Order running repeat free against Housewives and Family Guy, and Journey Man because it seemed like it was lite enough Sci-fi to fit.
MONDAY 8:00 Deal Or No Deal 9:00 Heroes 10:00 Bionic Woman
Yeah, I think Medium would work here too, but I think Bionic Woman could hold a larger chunk of the audience.
TUESDAY 8:00 The Office 8:30 30 Rock 9:00 Lipstick Jungle 10:00 Medium
I think The Office & 30 Rock could re-establish Tuesdays and a night for smart comedies like when Frasier was on. Lipstick could probably give House a run for his money and Medium might have it easier in this slot.
WEDNESDAY 8:00 Deal or No Deal 9:00 Law & Order: Special Victims Unit 10:00 Life
I think SVU needs to step up and be a anchor show.
THURSDAY 8:00 My Name Is Earl 8:30 Lipschitz Saves the Wold 9:00 Chuck 10:00 ER
Earl, a crazy sitcom, and a crazy young male skewing drama, and then a heavily promoted final season of ER.
FRIDAY 8:00 1 vs. 100 9:00 Las Vegas 10:00 Crossing Jordan
Honestly, this night was made up whatever of scraps and Crossing Jordan is only back to keep Vegas company because I didn't want it to be the only scripted show on Fridays.
