It will be interesting to see which shows they add to their lineup. They have loads of pilots to choose from. I have a feeling a lot of their shows are getting the axe (and rightfully so).

If nothing else, announcing the schedule 6 weeks earlier means that they will do 6 weeks less thinking about their programming for next year. If that isn't increased efficiency, they don't know what is.
The only shows I see NBC ending/cancelling are (if they havent already): Amne$ia, My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad, Bionic Woman, Quarterlife, Journeyman, Scrubs, Phenomenon, and Las Vegas.
Silverman loves 30 Rock and the producers of Friday Night Lights are sure that their show will return (whether its on DirectTV first and then NBC). Heroes, Life, Chuck, and ER (for a final season), are all confirmed to be returning. Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, are locks in returning along with The Office and My Name Is Earl.
I dont think Lipstick Jungle will get cancelled because for one thing, NBC has already ordered six extra scripts of the series and they seem to see potential in the series. In all fairness, it does hold much more of an audience of The Celebrity Apprentice then Eli Stone does of Lost and it went up close to 2mil viewers for its finale; so I wouldnt be surprised if NBC wanted to (at least try) re-launch the show, like they plan to do with Chuck and Life and how ABC plans to do with Dirty Sexy Money, Private Practice, and Pushing Daisies.
I also think Medium will return since it holds a lot of DOND's audience and it doesnt get crushed against CSI: Miami. Then The Biggest Loser and The Celebrity Apprentice are already confirmed to be returning. While American Gladiators, America's Got Talent, Last Comic Standing, and Nashville Star, will all be airing during the summer.
Honestly, I think we'll see all of these new shows within 52-weeks of NBC (if they havent already been picked up or scheduled):
Dramas All Rise (aka Play Or Be Played) Blue Blood Fear Itself *Already picked up Kings Knight Rider Robinson Crusoe *Already picked up The Listener *Already picked up The Philanthropist *Already picked up Untitled Christian Slater Project *Already picked up
Comedy Kath & Kim *Already picked up Man Of Your Dreams Zip
Reality/Game Show Celebrity Circus *Already picked up (Celebrity) Family Feud *Already picked up I Can Do That! *Already picked up The Baby Borrowers *Already picked up The Chopping Block *Already picked up The Interrogator Top Gear Who Do You Think You Are? *Already picked up
That may seem like a lot, but its not like they'd all be airing at the same time and of course NBC could give different episode orders for each series.
I agree with all of the cancellation list except for My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad. It would be a nice feel good cheap summer filler that could also double as Friday filler in a hurry. Singing Bee should also be spared also and used in that role.
I think they wouldn't be doing this if they had a lot to learn from the last couple months of the season. But there will really be no "bubble shows" airing in April/May. Most of the other networks have shows coming back whose fates will be decided:
ABC - WMC, Boston Legal Fox - Back to You, Til Death CBS - Moonlight, Shark CW - Reaper
The closest you could say for NBC would be something like Medium, which is almost certainly coming back anyway, or 30 Rock, which NBC seems to have their heart set on renewing regardless. So they might as well get the added buzz now.
NBC doesn't like Medium. NBC didn't also like Crossing Jordan, Las Vegas and 1 vs 100 and they all got cancelled.
I think NBC should cancel Amnesia, My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad, Lipstick Jungle, Bionic Woman, Journeyman, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights, ER and should have had already cancelled Life and Chuck. Quaterlife is already cancelled.
