While it's certainly past its peak, it may have a little something left if positioned right. Plus, I'm sure it's a cheaper alternative than much of what they currently produce. But if they repeat the ridiculousness of the LA edition, they're doomed.
This is great news! It's not time for the Apprentice to go away, but to shed itself of the nepotism and get some respectible people into the boardroom along side The Donald.

Now I hear this is going to be a "celebrity" version? I never thought the stunt that killed Prime Time Millionaire could be the final blow on The Apprentice. Here is the scoop per Ausiello (from the NBC Press Tour):
10:19 am: The Apprentice will return with a special celebrity edition! Unless they get Rosie O'Donnell, Martha Stewart and Mark Cuban to come on as contestants, I'll pass.
I have to admit, this sounds like the one thing that would definitely have me jump ship on this show....

We've seen The Donald in the flesh. We've heard The Donald speak. We know a little about how he functions. Now that the public's curiosity about DT in the flesh is over, I think it's timeta move on.

Yeah but shows very rarely go out when the time is right. This one has probably already stayed a year too long, and with the current position NBC is in, I'm not surprised its coming back.
