WELL...nbc network president ben "the weasel" silverman...his "former" production company...reveille entertainment...which he just "sold" to rupert murdoch's daughter...virtually all new nbc shows in the pipeline are being produced by guess which company???
REVEILLE ENTERTAINMENT...what a coincidence...reveille had three projects with nbc..now that silverman is president that number is up to 14!!!!!

zucker cancelled his upfront presentation..anyone who has sat thru his speech..the guy gets up there and barks ..a total bore of a public speaker...ok..he is a multi millionaire..he holds onto his job even though he has a failing losing record...but i hope he sticks to his threat he made to the WGA..he will shoot five pilots only and order them right to series..i cant wait...he cant pick a hit from a choice of 20 plus pilots so ..imagine what we will see..he'll blame silverman...

That's nothing -- there are some over 10,000. But honestly, at least I try to have useful discussion or debate, not make blatantly inflammatory posts with no information to back it up. It's obvious you have something against all of these network execs.

As someone who HAS posted 10,000+ times, this is information that is interesting.

TheTruthHurts Is not "Spamming" the forum. There is no product or no link to promote. Perhpas he is a little bitter, but who care what the motives are.

If you say so -- I've read most of this person's posts, and this one is typical of them. Basically they go like this: "a certain person, show, or network sucks. No info to back it up, but trust me, they do."

I have seen questions raised about Silverman's decisions for NBC and his..loyalty?... to Reveille. If TheTruthHurts is correct and NBC has picked up an inordinate number of pilots from Reveille, then it's quite possible there is a conflict of interest. If these shows fail, Silverman could end up in some hot water.

I'm not sure where I read this, but it seems that I read shortly after Silverman sold Reveille to Murdoch's daughter, that because of his affiliation with Reveille, any decisions that were made regarding that company would have to be approved by others at NBC. Not sure if that means Zucker, or who, but it seems to me that NBC is taking steps to assure that there isn't a conflict of interest where Reveille is concerned.
And while Zucker's talk about changing the programming format, skipping the expensive process of ordering 20+ pilots (only to have most of them fail miserably), and skipping the elaborate upfront presentation, all seem to be his attempts at making positive changes for the network. If some people are feeling spurned because their scripts didn't get picked up for pilots, it seems to me that that's the nature of the business. I'm not defending Silverman or Zucker, but what's wrong with the changes they're making? At least they're doing something. Whether it does any good or not, we'll have to wait and see.

Honestly, who cares? As long as the shows are good is all that should matter.

I don't think any serious questions will be asked by those in power unless the shows fail. If the shows are hits, no one is going to raise an eyebrow over the fact Silverman has interest in the company. If they fail or even just do so-so, it could come back to bite him.

well..they do say...that "competition is good"...so for one production company to monopolize nbc's future production slates...may not be a good thing for viewers in the future...reveille entertainment previously owned by "current" president of nbc ben silverman has the inside track at this time...if these shows bomb...its a win win for silverman either way..guys like him have huge golden parachutes so if they fire him he walks away with a bundle and will land on his feet just as failing former nbc prez and now current FOX prez kevin reilly did.
the success rate for development is a paltry 5 percent..in previous years say 100 pilots were shot by the networks..of those 100 maybe 25 got ordered to series and of those 25 ...maybe 5 got renewed the following season...in any other industry you'd get fired with that "success" rate...not in t.v.
