NBC isn't doing terribly well,so here's my suggested schedule to remedy the problem:
Monday 8:00- Deal or No Deal / American Gladiators (Jan) 9:00- Heroes 10:00- Medium -NBC's signature reality show and the combination of Heroes & Medium that NBC has been ignoring for years.
Tuesday 8:00- My Name Is Earl (New Timeslot) 8:30- 30 Rock (New Timeslot) 9:00- Chuck (New Timeslot) 10:00- Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - An easier time period for Earl and 30 Rock (at least until American Idol reappears) and lead in support for Chuck.
Wednesday 8:00- Deal Or No Deal 9:00- Life (New Timeslot) 10:00- Law & Order - I just think it's a good combination.
Thursday 8:00- The Biggest Loser (New Timeslot) / Celebrity Apprentice 9:00- The Office 9:30- Office Spin Off (New Series) 10:00- E.R. - Strong reality, an Office block, and hopefully ER's final season ending up not so final
Friday 8:00- Deal Or No Deal 9:00- Man of Your Dreams (New Series) 9:30- Kath & Kim (New Series) 10:00- Lipstick Jungle (New Timeslot) - Fluffy programs for women
Saturday 8:00-11:00- Various Programming
Sunday (after football) 7:00- Dateline NBC 8:00 - Knight Rider (new series) 9:00 - Law & Order: Criminal Intent [repeats from USA] 10:00 - My Own Worst Enemy (new series) - series that need to be developed a bit more sandwiching basically free programming
This schedule has way too much Deal or No Deal which is no longer a solid player. Deal or No Deal should be on once a week maximum, if that. As for Friday, I like the idea of bringing comedies to the night, but those two aren't the right type. Earl would work well on Tuesday, seeing as how it did just fine 2 years ago there.
The problem NBC has in its comedy department right now is that they want to develop all these single camera complicated comedies. It's hard to believe 5 years ago, NBC's middle name was comedy. NBC...learn you idiots...multi camera, family comedies. No more of this trash you keep feeding us! See how successful CBS is and the example they set?
Oh, and one last thing, Medium needs to stay Mondays at 10. It works perfectly there. Why doesn't NBC get it and treat this show like dirt?
